Turning the ongoing glow-up at Hollis @LIRR station into a permanent shoutout to @OfficialRunDMC and especially Jam Master Jay would be straight legendary. Hollis is the birthplace of hip-hop royalty: Run, DMC, and JMJ grew up right there in Queens, crafting the sound that changed the game forever. Jam Master Jay (Jason Mizell) stayed rooted in the neighborhood his whole life, and the whole crew reps Hollis hard. The station is currently undergoing rehabilitation, which presents an opportune timeframe.

@CherylACampbell@HipHopHistoryGy The original plan RUN DMC had was to sample the beat. It was Rick Rubin’s idea for them to remake the entire record and collaborate with Aerosmith
@HipHopHistoryGy@OfficialRunDMC Do you think that whoever came up with the idea for these guys to team up with Aerosmith was such an amazing idea that finally after so much time the whole world had access. I’m just curious what your opinion is because I think it was crucial. And who made that decision?
