The system that works is controlled by people. For it to have been or currently being bypassed means some people in the system allow it. My recommendation: The system needs to flush out the Shaft amongst them and then make all of them scapegoats. The supposed working system needs to start making offenders of the law Scapegoats even among politicians. Unfortunately, the system is being ruled by these same sets of Politicians. If these same laws are used to cover up fraudulent politicians, of course someone who is rich enough will use it also. When we start making an example of people, the rest will fall in line. If the father of a house is a thief and nonchalant, the tendency of the children being the same is 100%. If you deal with the father, the children will fall in line. If they don't, they should be dealt with. Examples are what makes people learn. I always re-echo it, there is a law in Nigeria but there is no Justice. If there is any, it's performative. Justice means giving people rewards or consequences for their actions. A man steals groundnut in Sabo market and he is charged to court and he is sentenced to 3 years imprisonment. A politician steals money from the state budget and he is still roaming around like a free chicken. We see these kinds of cases everyday and we say there is Justice? Justice isn't selective. You said today that: yes, the primary responsibility of the government is to secure the lives of its citizens but also in our constitution, the government cannot be held responsible for the deaths of these same citizens. What kind of Law is that? So many things are wrong with this country. It has eaten so deep, so deep that it is almost impossible to root out a quarter of the shit we have gotten ourselves into. When I say Politics is a dirty game, we think it's just people who are the top playing funny games. No, Politics got us into this mess. A deep mess. Nigeria can never be better. We just have to keep choosing the lesser evil until Christ comes.
