Well, here is new one... Appearing at forums sponsored by the GOP grassroots county parties might be seen as "desperation." I prefer to believe that candidates who thumb their nose at the grassroot party warriors do so at their own peril.

I don’t think it’s arrogance or fear. I’d say debating primary opponents this early is a sign of desperation. You’re giving oxygen to people who potentially might not even qualify for the primary. There’s one or two people here that I doubt will even get the signature requirement to be on the ballot. Why would you debate this early and turn the race from 2 or 3 to 4? It doesn’t make sense in my opinion. Better use of time to do other things and speak to voters about their concerns.

Some say it's arrogance. I suspect it is more out of fear. If you've ever seen Mike speak in public and then seen Hermening (and I've been told Ebben is good too), you understand why Mike would opt to stay away.

“Transpo donors galore”
I’m not going to pretend this is okay. I thought people wanted someone in Congress who will drain the swamp and who will stand up to it. To me, this is the very definition of the swamp.
He’s a 26 year old part time worker at a parish that won’t even say if the job is paid. He’s refusing to show up at debates with the other candidates. What’s the evidence he would stand up to swampy interests once in office? There are three other conservatives in the race.

Not sure if this is directed at me or the others, but I grew up in the 7th, my mom still owns a (now non-working) farm there, my sister and brother in law will be voting there, and there are a fairly large number of people there who follow me. I’m not going to limit my interests to Oconomowoc, sorry. Also, Jim you were on Duffy’s payroll as recently as December.

@Oh_Jim_Miller Jim while ads are preferable to no ads generally my lack of "ads" is just how it is for now. I'd argue as the frontrunner for the WI Republican primary this "7 figure buy" is dangerous to do. I'm not made of money so that is why the regular working man lacks money.

My view on Tom's ad. Horrible backround beat super distracting especially to young voters with small attention frame. Easily could miss what he says. Good blurred backround with camera focus on Tom. Awful script at 28 seconds talking policy when ads are skippable after 5 seconds.
