Good morning everyone. So many warnings about “You won’t like Portland weather” when we announced we were moving. The weather hasn’t sucked at all. Some rain, some chilly morning. But no heat, definitely no humidity. Yesterday was gorgeous. So far I’m loving every about Oregon. Can’t wait til our house is done! Although I’m enjoying being in the City for now, especially with Richard flying back to Florida every week.

@bibrary He is horrified, he was afraid to tell me because he knew how disappointed I’d be. Losing my panties is like losing the most precious item under his care. How do I figure an appropriate punishment other than to not give him another pair?

Richard has been traveling a lot since our move to the Pacific Northwest & I’ve given him a pair of my panties to sleep with each time. Well, he lost my panties!! Left them in the hotel bed when he checked out & some maid probably threw them away. One of my favorite pairs too. What should his punishment be?

I’ve been having a kind of stressful day. Richard is back in Florida and I’ve been dealing with subcontractors and other issues that normally wouldn’t be problems. But, sign, which is missing a letter, cheered me up and made me laugh. It was much needed!!

@SKalifornia @RichardQKnight Yes, from what we’ve been told it gets crazy busy on weekends and during tourist season. But there are so many others places to go that I doubt we’ll get bored or overwhelmed by tourists. Being where we were in Florida, tourists are nothing new.

.@RichardQKnight and I took a drive to the Oregon Coast this past weekend. It’s about an hour West of our new home. We stopped in Seaside, Oregon for lunch and then made our way to Cannon Beach before heading home. It was a gorgeous day. Hello friends, I’ve missed being here. I promise I’ll be back more often soon. As I’m sure you can understand packing up the old house, getting it ready to sell and all that was involved took some time. We’ve found a beautiful mid-century modern home just outside of Portland. It’s in the process of getting a new kitchen, new appliances, new flooring and a fresh coat of paint. I went with a dark blue in my bedroom … some of you might remember the West Palm Beach house had a dark grey bedroom with a black ceiling. I like sleeping in total darkness. The demolition of the old kitchen and foyer is complete. There was velvet wallpaper underneath the foyer drywall! Next week we have cabinet makers, plumbers & electricians doing their thing. We’ve found some fabulous furniture! We didn’t bring the furniture from our Florida home. Two reasons … it was more tropical themed AND it would’ve cost more to move it across the country than it will to buy new furniture. Portland has soooo many vintage stores, we’ve been lucky to acquire some unique quality pieces. So … everything is coming along. I think we should be moving in in about 4-6 weeks. We have the condo rental until the end of June, so we have plenty of time. We’re getting there! I’m loving Portland and truly not missing Florida at all. Missing some friends, but not missing anything else. I hope you’re all well.
