@AstaVista18 @validclipx Doing some good things doesn’t prove a religion is from God. Plenty of ideologies teach charity and morality. The question is truth: did Jesus die and rise again, and is He the Son of God? Islam denies both while claiming to confirm the prophets

@Ohbs1010 @validclipx Ah yes, Satan came to an idol-worshipping people with backwards cultural practices and turned them into monothiests who respect the past prophets, command good and forbid evil. Yeah totally makes sense...

Akademiks questions the CREDIBILITY of Islam during a heated argument with Sneako “What’s the proof that Allah sent the word to Gabriel & passed it down to Muhammad, who was at that meeting… you just read it in a book.. So Muhammad could see everything but he couldn’t read ?..He knows how many levels of the mountains & atmosphere but he didn’t know his ABC… you telling me God gave him all the knowledge except the ability to read & write”

@keep_ae35 @validclipx Neither are the Gospels directly spoken by Jesus. By that logic you’d reject Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John too. Galatians is apostolic teaching from Paul, whom the risen Christ personally appeared to and sent (Galatians 1:1)

The Quran tells Christians to judge by the Gospel Allah revealed (Surah 5:47) and says nobody can change Allah’s words (Surah 6:115, 18:27). But the Gospel that existed before and during Muhammad’s time teaches Jesus was crucified, rose again, and is Lord. So either: 1.The Gospel was preserved and Islam contradicts it. 2.The Gospel was corrupted meaning the Quran is wrong for affirming and trusting it. Both cannot be true at the same time.

@Ohbs1010 @MasterMaliq Remember that God revealed the Quran; you can read it if you believe in heaven and hell, in winning and losing. Remember that he ate food, prayed, slept, and was even born. May God guide you, Be a witness that I'm a Muslim

Christians don’t deny that Jesus ate, slept, prayed, or was born. That’s the entire point of the Incarnation: “The Word became flesh” (John 1:14). Jesus being human doesn’t disprove His divinity. In Christianity, He is fully man and fully God. And if He never claimed divinity, why did the Jewish leaders accuse Him of blasphemy and try to stone Him after He said, “Before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58)?

He forgave sins (Mark 2:5–7), accepted worship (Matthew 14:33), called Himself the “I AM” (John 8:58), said “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30), and claimed authority over judgment and eternal life. The Jewish leaders understood exactly what He was claiming that’s why they accused Him of blasphemy and wanted Him killed (John 10:33).

@Ohbs1010 @MasterMaliq Let me tell you that he will descend at the end of time, break the cross, kill the pig, and pray with the Muslims. God will ask him on the Day of Judgment if he claimed divinity, and he will deny it. God knows best that he never claimed it at all.

@AbdullahTIAOT @MasterMaliq If Jesus walked around first-century Judea openly saying “I am God, worship me” every day from the start, He would’ve been executed before His ministry was complete. Instead, He revealed His divinity through His actions, titles, and fulfillment of prophecy.

@PracticalTheolo @isaiah489 John builds toward Thomas’ confession intentionally. The disciples already worshipped Jesus (Matt. 14:33), confessed Him as the Holy One of God (John 6:69), and saw Him claim divine prerogatives. Thomas’ ‘My Lord and my God’ is the climax of John’s Gospel, not an isolated idea.

If Christianity were invented to control people, why did the apostles willingly suffer persecution, torture, and death for proclaiming the resurrection instead of gaining power, wealth, or status?

@PracticalTheolo @isaiah489 Peter’s confession in Matthew 16 and Thomas’ confession in John 20 serve different purposes in different contexts. John intentionally places Thomas’ “My Lord and my God” after the resurrection as the climactic confession of the Gospel.

@Ohbs1010 @isaiah489 Yet how does he respond to Peter's much weaker declaration at Matthew 16:16? "Blessed are you, Simon!" Where does another disciple say Jesus is God Almighty prior to Thomas, here?

@PracticalTheolo Yet in those same verses Jesus claims authority to raise the dead, execute final judgment, possess “life in Himself,” and receive the same honor as the Father (John 5:21–26). That’s far beyond a merely exalted creature in Jewish monotheism.

@Ohbs1010 Jesus spends *11 lines* at John 5:19-30 explaining how he's claiming a limited, subordinate form of equality given to him by God - not claiming to be God. Trinitarians have chutzpah, I'll grant that!

@PracticalTheolo John isn’t “pulling back” the claim. In John’s Gospel, “Son of God” already carries divine implications (John 5:18), and the same Gospel opens with “the Word was God” (1:1). John 20:31 summarizes the Gospel; it doesn’t erase Thomas’ confession 3 lines earlier.

@Ohbs1010 ... and then the narrator inexplicably pulls that claim back 3 lines later and says what's *really* important - the point of his entire gospel - is that we believe Jesus is instead the Christ, the Son of God? 🤔

@PracticalTheolo The point is that John’s Gospel itself presents Jesus with divine identity/prerogatives, and climaxes with Thomas directly confessing Him: “My Lord and my God.”

@Ohbs1010 The natural reading ... if you sheer it of all its context, and assume anachronistic Trinitarian beliefs for Thomas?

Bible “revisions” usually refer to updated translations based on manuscript scholarship and language clarity, not Christians rewriting Scripture itself. The Quran also has different translations and accepted textual readings (qira’at), even if Muslims believe the Arabic text is perfectly preserved.

@SkyVirginSon The Trinity isn’t “1 God and 3 Gods” or “1 person and 3 persons.” Christianity teaches 1 divine Being shared eternally by 3 distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Different categories, so not a logical contradiction.

How can God be both one and three simultaneously, isn't the Trinity logically contradictory?
