Ohio State should have won B2B if they didn’t their heads out of their asses and played at least a normal pace. BUT let’s not act like these future first rounders didn’t win a title. They won 13 months ago.

Our hearts go out to Rondale Moore. Such a sad turn of events. He torched the Buckeyes back in 2018 in a way where you couldn’t be mad, all you could do was tip your cap. Hope he found some peace.

@Bcarp3 As a new-ish father of twin boys, a father can do just about everything a mom does especially if they are formula fed (which is roughly half of babies)

Please tell me what a father does after the child is born for the 1st three months.... Care for the child and support their mom Change them Feed them All can be done while working... its called getting up at night and grinding through it... sure its hard, but thats the life of a Dad

@Bcarp3 That a serious flaw within the NFL then, Bobby. It just demonstrates how screwed up that league is. Kids need both of their parents. It’s a shame the NFL places a higher priority on a game than it does on families and child development.

At the end of the day, it’s just football. It’s a game. There’s family. (big gap) Then work. And if the organization isn’t able to handle (at least 2 weeks away) with 9 months heads up, that’s a failure at the organization level.

#Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah took roughly two weeks of paternity leave in 2023 following the birth of his first son, and many around the league were in “disbelief” that he did this, per @DMRussini and @alec_lewis. During that time, he worked remotely and was absent from several training camp meetings and practices. Minnesota was publicly supportive of his time away: “Following the birth of his first child, the general manager left for paternity leave, missing about two weeks of training camp meetings and practices and working remotely during that stretch. Word of his time away from the team traveled quickly around the league. Among some rival executives and coaches, it was met with disbelief. In an NFL culture where many players, coaches, and executives proudly acknowledge missing the births of their children, taking time away to care for a newborn and support a partner remains uncommon.”

Not that I care one bit. But says a lot about the state we are in where you can’t give an honest assessment without people blocking, muting, unfollowing. We live in a world now where there is no honest debate. Just an echo chamber. And it kind of proves my point about Ryan Day. 🤷‍♂️ Unfollow me if you want. I’m personally just tired of wearing the rose colored glasses every year hoping he’s going to change. The one year he changed it took a group of super seniors to call him to the carpet. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to support this team and hope they go undefeated. But I’m not going to sit here year after year getting let down exactly the same way—at that point the jokes on me.

Ohio state will go 7-5 next year. Losses At Texas At Iowa At Indiana At USC Oregon I personally don’t believe Ryan Day has learned his lesson in big game play calling. I think they have the team and the talent to go undefeated. I think next year could be the year Ryan Day gets exposed as an offensive coach. And this schedule will be the one that does him in.

I agree with Mike on a lot, but I don’t think one title defines “product quality.” Parity matters. The SEC delivers it: more double-ranked matchups in the regular season (23 vs 12) and significantly closer games (13.5 MOV vs 19.9 elsewhere). That’s the weekly product.
Michael Mulvihill@mulvihill79

Having the best product on the field, which the B1G now obviously does, will help viewership but there are still going to be some meaningful structural advantages for SEC viewership.

Ohio State was clearly the No. 3 team in the country this year. And if we got our sh*t together in their last 2 games, we would have been No. 1
