As a parent remember: When your child gets on the bus after a game, it doesn’t matter what division the school is or how big. What maters is their love of the game & the education they are receiving. D3, D2, NAIA,D1, don’t matter. The fit and the experience are the priority.

Showcases have a ton of value, but watching teams compete through bracket play is a different viewing experience. Defense, team cohesion and intelligent pitching plans determine how long you get to play.

My observations from games & camps this summer: - defensive skills are getting better - hitters are much better - kids need to get into much better 7 inning game shape - pitching is very, very average - kids are playing too many tournaments & showcases

Talking to a parent this week and she revealed that their high school field is locked. They need school personnel to open it up for them to use it. Our facility was always left open for people to use. What does your high school do?

Student-athletes: In the future there won’t be anymore team meals. There won’t be anymore practices, anymore games. There won’t be anymore team road trips & hotel stays. Being an athlete only lasts a short time. Work hard every day, soak it all in & appreciate how awesome it is.
