He is IPS Bishnoi . He got married recently. This is the video of him glorifying some shitty tradition . He has the power to dismantle all this shit. Imagine wearing a uniform to uphold patriarchy. You don’t get to wear a uniform and then defend misogyny as culture.If power doesn’t dismantle harmful practices, it protects them. But he chose to glorify that shit because it pleases misogyny.

@PistolDenger Bishnois themselves practice aata sata tradition and everyone knows it's only practiced by tribals and SC/ST

@aravalishomeboy @PistolDenger see widow remarriage is very common amongst jats, and Ik that there is not social stigma around it, even with others. But people rarely wanted to accept other's children but a brother will do it. I don't see a problem if people are ok.

@Ohvidya Thanks for not being like others 🙂 and you are right it should not be recorded and posted on first place and this ritual is take place in mostly all across Rajasthan and with in many communities, not just one.

This is called Dudh Pilai ritual.
In some Rajasthani weddings like in Bishnoi families, just before the groom leaves with the baraat, his mother covers him with her pallu. She brings his face close to her chest and he mimics drinking milk for a few seconds.
It is not real breastfeeding. It is a symbolic act.
It means the end of his childhood days. The mother is giving her last blessing and reminding him of "maa ke doodh ka karz", never forget the love and sacrifices she made while raising him.
