The shade Patrick Kane threw at Toronto on TSN radio was hilarious “I’m a winner and winners don’t go play for teams that can’t get past the first round, so my decision will be based off a team that’s pointing in the right direction, not one with constant failures.”

Evan Bouchard finished with more points and more 5v5 points than both Auston Matthews and William Nylander this past season.

Career goaltending metrics prove Andersen is objectively better than Bobrovsky. The Oilers getting the superior goalie for a $1M base while the Leafs shell out $7M for an older, worse netminder proves that Toronto's management remains completely innumerate with the cap.

Jason Dickinson's new 5x4 contract delivers more actual, projectable value to a Stanley Cup window than any single player on Toronto’s roster.

Leafs wanted a player who reflects its postseason culture, and Darren Raddysh fits the bill. He has just 4 points in 14 AHL playoff games and 4 points in 20 NHL playoff games. For a franchise that constantly comes up short in the playoffs, giving him 8 years feels very on brand.

@patriotsnorth10 You’re using even strength totals instead of isolating 5v5, so yes, you are missing something.

A 36 year old Mattias Ekholm effortlessly outproduced Darren Raddysh in 5v5 points last season. Toronto predictably paid $8.5M for a 30 year old power play merchant. Another utterly deplorable, fundamentally flawed move by John Chayka.

Jim Hiller is 3-8 in the playoffs, has never won a series, and is 0-2 against the Oilers in the postseason. His playoff track record should feel right at home in Toronto.

Mike Babcock has 700 NHL wins, a .608 winning percentage, a Stanley Cup, and 4 gold medals with hockey Canada. Only Leafs fans would somehow convince themselves that Oilers hiring a coach with that resume is a bad move.

Mike Babcock is an excellent hire unless your organization specializes in excuses and first round exits like the Leafs.

Leafs are about to draft McKenna or Stenberg and plug them straight into the same top heavy Core Four structure that already failed for nearly a decade. This organization fundamentally misunderstands roster construction.

Mitch Marner making the Stanley Cup Final right after leaving Toronto is a generational indictment of that franchise.

Mitch Marner immediately thriving outside Toronto is exactly why no UFA should ever sign with the Leafs, and why every player should have Toronto on their no trade list.

Evan Bouchard hasn’t been on the ice for a single 5v5 goal against at the World Championship and leads the tournament at +9. He’s already contributed more to Team Canada in his career than Cale Makar.

Evan Bouchard holds the highest career playoff points per game average of any defenceman since 1978. If Makar is supposed to be the best defenceman of this generation, why does he have to look up at Evan Bouchard on the all time playoff points per game list?
