@DustBaker Would be another in a long line of QB mistakes. Even for free. He wasn't good enough for Arizona but now is good enough for Minnesota? Just what KOC needs. Another QB he has to babysit.

With Kyler Murray's release by the Cardinals, he becomes the single-best "other" QB option for the Vikings next to J.J. McCarthy in 2026, and per the value, it's not close. If we assume he'll sign a cheap deal because he's been paid by ARI, the value is an absolute no-brainer.

Kyler Murray has started 87 games since 2019. Per 17 games, his numbers look like this: — 4,620 Passing + Rushing Yds — 30 Total TDs — 67.1% Comp It's time to think of the *value* his next team will get — not theories about his attitude, his video games, or scheme fits.

Man Klint Kubiak is such a better play caller than KOC. We made a big mistake letting him go after a successful 2021 offensive season.

#6) JJ McCarthy (A. J. McCarron) OVERVIEW: National champion quarterback who leaves you trying to see more than might be there. Plus mechanics: solid base, torques the front hip and uncorks quickly. Plus accuracy on short passes. Deep ball wanders on him as it begins to float past 30 yards. Wasn’t asked to do much in Michigan’s well oiled machine, but was asked to come through in big moments and answered the bell. His legs are the weapon that jumps out most often, but won’t be nearly as dangerous at the next level. Build is slight (listed at 6’3 and just 200lbs); wheels are nothing special (over/under 4.74?). He’s just not going to get away with the same slick runs that were his main source of chunk plays in college. Harbaugh’s effusive praise has him rocketing up draft boards, but might be setting JJ up for failure. STRENGTHS: - National Champion - Clutch gene - Well coached - Solid mechanics - Plus legs - Plus accuracy on passes inside 15 yards WEAKNESSES: - Was highly dependent on legs, which were good for college ranks, but will mostly get him in trouble at the next level. - Shockingly light frame leads to concerns for his well being at the next level. - Limited arm strength - Too much hype might get him in a situation where he’s asked to carry a team early in his career. BOTTOM LINE: Would be a wonderful 5th round pick for a contender with an established starter where he can sit on the bench, learn, lift weights, and eat for a few years before getting thrust into action. Unfortunately, Harbaugh is well respected in the league and wanted to hype his boy, so JJ appears destined for a rebuilding team where he’ll be thrust into the spotlight early in his career. It’s hard to see how that situation goes well for JJ. COMP: AJ McCarron Like AJ McCarron, JJ McCarthy seems destined to be the former national champ on the bench who routinely gets hyped, but never justifies it on the field. Fortunately, good backups can have long careers and make a lot of money in the NFL.
