You know who I feel sorry for? Federico Chiesa. Chiesa has shown his talent and quality over the years for both club and country... But after being signed by Liverpool for an initial £10m in August 2024, he's started 2 League games in the near 2 full seasons since. Yes, he struggled with injury in his first, but as far as I'm aware he's been fit for the vast majority of 25/26. And yet... despite Liverpool selling Diaz, Nunez and unfortunately losing Jota, despite Gakpo's poor form this season and the fact that Liverpool played in 4 competitions... He's barely got a look in... I just don't get it!

If Akliouche is signed at RW, we have to sign an explosive and attack-minded RB. That in itself posses another recruitment challenge. I have been big on Palestra but I'm unsure if Akliouche and him would work together well.

@IverHanrahanGP He’s only quick over short distance/acceleration. He needs the ball to feet also, his technique is poor to control the ball when hit to him in the air. V limited footballer. Nice guy though

Apart from pace, what else does Frimpong offer in a side that does not play with wing backs?

An early goal, the chance to pummel a team so obviously short of confidence but Liverpool spend 20 minutes dropping off and playing backwards to such an extent they have now been pegged back. Not for the first time here this season, it has been utterly anaemic.

@GooalMouth We had an identity under Klopp, a style of leadership play which was positive. We had no defence that season. Under slot there is legends talking about culture, no tactical structure out of possession or to break teams down, poor subs plus he inspires no confidence

Its funny. When we scraped 4th under Klopp after winning the league everyone called it a miracle because of our CB injury crisis. Bear in mind everyone else was still very much available. We were top of the leaue after Van Dijk sufffered the injury. This season, we have had significant injuries @ RB and up front. We have had to play midfiders at RB, overplay players like Hugo and play wingers up front. Oh and our best player declined to average levels. One season is praised as a miracle, the other is projected as a failure. Go figure that one out.
