Not a single day has passed without missing your presence, your guidance, your prayers and the values you instilled in us. While the world remembers you as a statesman and leader, we remember you as a loving father whose humility, discipline and faith shaped our lives. May Allah (SWT) continue to have mercy on your soul, Baba. Ameen.

A business location that has been thriving years before many of you got PVCs! You would think my enterprises saw a boom due to political affiliation, but I was very cautious to separate my business activities from political conversations. As a matter of fact patronage reduced significantly in that period as I was more invested in political activities. Never Again! People like this commenter, are the reasons why many entrepreneurs are scared to engage in Nigerian politics. I operate legit business enterprises that are free and clear of shady dealings. The freedom I enjoy is unimaginable! Today business is very, very good! We thank God for a recovering economy! Many lessons here!!

You are and will always be a mad man, this Salako of a creature. I don’t even read your tweets or acknowledge your existence. You tweet rubbish to rile up an ignorant bunch who seek online toxicity. I pray for Nigeria’s daily progress, even where I may have had stern displeasures with the government and the system in general. Some of us wake up to create jobs and empower fellow citizens daily. If I see quantifiable progress, I will applaud greatly. Unfortunately miserable creatures like yourself, bring your life frustrations to the internet. Get a life!!!

This is a reminder that 176 kidnapped pregnant women and children from Woro, Kwara are still with terrorists since February. They have demanded over 3 billion naira for them. Tinubu is yet to say a word. Governor @RealAARahman is busy campaigning. 👏🏾

176 Kwara state women and children are still in captivity of terrorists for over three months. Tinubu is not bothered about them. He focuses on Oyo state for political motives.

This week, I have observed with deep concern two notable media appearances: one by my brother, Mr. Peter Obi, and the other by the family of Malam Nasir El-Rufai. In his interview with Mr. Chude Jideonwo, Mr. Obi voiced serious worries about his personal safety and the adverse impact his role as an opposition leader has had on his businesses. Even more troubling was the Federal Government’s response, which resorted to personal insults and derogatory language instead of the restraint and maturity expected of a democratic administration. Let me state clearly: like every Nigerian, our presidential candidate and all of us deserve the full protection of the state, not ridicule for raising legitimate concerns. Democratic leadership requires fairness, justice, and restraint. A government entrusted with protecting citizens should not dismiss or mock credible calls for help from any individual, including Mr. Peter Obi. On the other hand, it was distressing to watch the wives of Malam Nasir El-Rufai publicly express the family’s anguish over his prolonged detention. Regardless of political affiliation, Malam El-Rufai, like every Nigerian, is entitled to due process and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty by a competent court. The continued delay in granting him bail through what many perceive as stringent and unreasonable conditions is deeply concerning. As an unconvicted citizen, he deserves a fair and expeditious trial, while his health and that of his family are adequately safeguarded. I therefore join well-meaning Nigerians in urging the Federal Government to handle these matters with transparency, accountability, and justice. These issues must not be weaponised to settle political scores. For our democracy to truly thrive, every citizen; young or old, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or political persuasion must receive equal and equitable treatment under the law from the government that exists to protect us all. - RMK

"When you look at the level of hunger in Africa and see the amount of arable land area that is available to us, then you start to wonder what are the developmental economies like you doing if not interrogating and supporting the basic industries that will produce for exports. Today, if we partner well, and incorporate these ideas, and do less talking, and really put our head into developmental programs, we can turn it around." — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the visit by delegation from Afreximbank

Peter Obi’s new lies Peter Obi’s recent claims of being targeted by the government—citing an incident involving his car at the airport, which, by his own account, must have resulted from flouting parking regulations—are simply unfounded and misleading.  As a pathological and serial liar, Mr Obi is intent on dragging the government into every personal inconvenience he encounters, often resorting to exaggeration and baseless allegations. His claim that he may not be alive for the January 2027 election and that people are being pressured not to invite him to social events is nothing more than a fabricated narrative, a page from his book of lies and propaganda.  These claims lack substance and are designed to attract undue sympathy and deflect attention from his credibility deficit and the problems faced by his SPV and his adopted political association, the NDC. It is important to note that Mr Obi has a substantial interest in Fidelity Bank. The institution continues to thrive as a result of the current administration’s robust economic reforms. The government is certainly not targeting the bank. Rather than being “haunted” by the government, Mr Obi appears to be grappling with the consequences of his litany of unfounded statements. The Tinubu government remains fully focused on consolidating its historic and beneficial reforms for the good of all Nigerians. It has neither the time nor the inclination to be distracted by Mr Obi’s self-serving narratives and lies or by his candidacy, as he constantly diminishes himself with specious, unverifiable utterances.

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU ORDERS ICPC TO INVESTIGATE “PRESIDENTIAL FOREIGN INTERVENTION PROMOTION COUNCIL” President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to conduct a thorough investigation into the activities of a “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council” (PFIPC) and all related matters. The President directed that the investigation be concluded and a comprehensive report submitted to him within 30 days. The directive follows the discovery of the fictitious PFIPC, which was never established by the Federal Government of Nigeria and has no basis in any law, presidential instrument, executive approval, or other lawful act of Government. One Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew presented himself as the Director-General of the so-called PFIPC and falsely claimed to be a presidential appointee. Among the issues to be investigated by the ICPC are the forged appointment letters and other official government documents; the use of a false claim of presidential appointment to seek or obtain official recognition and diplomatic support, including visa facilitation; and the opening of multiple bank accounts in the names of purported government agencies using allegedly forged documents. President Tinubu directed the ICPC to investigate not only the conduct of the principal individual and other collaborators involved but also the wider circumstances that may have enabled a fictitious body and a false claim of presidential appointment to acquire an appearance of official legitimacy. The investigation is to examine the provenance and use of false official documents; the processes through which official recognition or diplomatic support may have been sought or obtained; the opening and operation of any related bank accounts; the source and movement of any funds involved; and the role of any public officer, private individual, financial institution, intermediary or other person or entity that may have facilitated, enabled or participated in the alleged scheme. The President further directed the Commission to identify any weaknesses in government and institutional procedures that may have been exploited and to recommend immediate measures to prevent the recurrence of similar abuses. All ministries, departments and agencies of the Federal Government have been directed to provide the ICPC, upon lawful request, with all relevant information, records and assistance required for the expeditious completion of the investigation. President Tinubu stated that the integrity of the Presidency and the institutions of the Federal Government must be protected against impersonation, forgery, abuse of official identity and the exploitation of weaknesses in the public service. The President directed that all persons found culpable be treated strictly in accordance with applicable law. Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President (Information and Strategy) 7 July 2026
