If you've been trying to understand AI but have been intimidated by the complex terminologies and fluff words, the article below is a TL; DR beginner's guide to AI. You're welcome. theneuron.ai/tutorial/maste…

I just confirmed that @MTNNG steals data from their users‼️‼️💔 I’ve been having suspicions that MTN have been stealing data because of the rate at which my data finishes so fast even if I don’t download anything So yesterday by 3:52 PM I bought 11GB data for 3500 naira I put my phone on power saving mode so no app in the background will be able to use data I didn’t download or upload any videos and I’ve been using my phone lightly. I felt like all this wasn’t enough so i decided to download an app that tracks my data usage This afternoon MTN sent me a message that I have just 4GB of data left Checked the app and saw I used only 3GB from the 11GB I bought yesterday Now my question to MTN is this If I used 3GB from 11GB that means I should have 8GB left Why do I have just 4GB left? Where did my remaining 4GB go??? All evidence attached in the screenshots below👇👇👇 We need to call out MTN for these recent thefts as I’m sure I’m not the only one facing this problem

@iamKierraD Augmentation vs. replacement isn’t really a meaningful distinction—there’s no scenario where people aren’t affected. Atm, ~80–90% of use cases are augmentation, but that still reduces demand for early-career talent, as the tasks those roles were built around are handled by AI

a Musk win here is not a positive step forward for humanity. Deprecating and or slowing the worlds leading models and platform isn't a win for users. It just takes out the top and forces users to utilize lesser tools like Grok/Gemini/Claude. Ask yourself how is that a win? You can currently use those tools now if you so chose, so how does taking out OpenAI do anything except for enrich those (aka Musk) currently losing?

From a business model lens, the Chowdeck vs. Swoop case is a classic tension between value capture and value communication. Chowdeck uses shrouded pricing, embedding commissions into inflated menu prices. This maximizes short-term unit margins but creates information asymmetry. The lawsuit is a direct consequence: once users decode the hidden markup, trust erodes and regulatory risk rises. Swoop, by contrast, adopts unbundled pricing, separating delivery fees (100% to riders) from a visible 7% service fee. This aligns with transparency as a governance mechanism in two-sided platforms. It reduces customer-side friction and rider-side exploitation, but tests whether low disclosed margins can sustain operations at scale without a super-app cross-subsidy. The real question isn't which model "works" because both can generate revenue. It's whether Nigeria's price-sensitive market will pay a premium for predictability or tolerate opacity for lower upfront costs. Business model literature suggests that in trust-poor, margin-thin environments, transparency eventually wins but only if paired with efficient logistics and volume-driven economics.

In February 2026, Nigerian consumer Dolapo Adedeji filed a lawsuit against Chowdeck over alleged lack of pricing transparency. SWOOP announced their $7 million dollars raise and expansion to Lagos, Nigeria with an interesting proposition. Transparent pricing… 100% delivery fees go directly to its riders, the company charges 7% service fee to cover operations. 🧵🧵🧵

Excited to announce that Swoop has raised $7.3M from @LongJourneyVC ,@variantfund, @VersionOneVC, @Soma_Capital, @dunevc, Base Capital, @nickymontanaa, and others to build Africa's super-app! We launched as a food delivery service in Eswatini and became the country's largest ecommerce platform with 22K+ users. Now, we're launching food delivery in Lagos, with payments and other verticals coming later this year.
