@channelstv This path looks familiar. GEJ and PDP also acted this script to frustrate the registration of APC prior to the 2015 election, but the coalition pulled together and resisted them. With unity of purpose and resilience, ADC will overcome and push out the Pharaoh in Aso Rock.

“I lost ₦25 million to the people I trusted most. But one ‘small boy’ saved my business.” That was how my pure water company manager was eating chicken every other evening, living large and looking fresh… while I was growing lean and looking older by the day. This life no balance sha. 😊😊😊 After investing about ₦25 million into the business, there was always a new depressing story every day. While the manager kept lying about trucks, generators, and machinery, the drivers were having a field day. I had promised to take care of my staff — and I was playing my part well. Sadly, many of them couldn’t see beyond the next plate of rice or eba. It was a harrowing experience. They dealt with me without mercy. I even sent a trusted church member…she quietly “opened her own shop” and started siphoning money. There was always chaos in the office. No one considered the long drives I made every Saturday and Sunday just to keep things running. At one point, I brought in an artist I had been supporting — even bought about ₦2 million worth of his works. I employed him to oversee the office while I was at my 9–5 and paid him upfront. Pride wouldn’t let him work. I fired him two days after. Then I sent my sister — hardworking, integrity pro max, hates waste and dishonesty. That was when the real resistance started. They complained she was “too strict.” I knew exactly what that meant. One Saturday morning, I called an emergency meeting. I needed answers. After everyone spoke, the youngest staff raised his hand… looked the manager in the eye… and exposed all the fraud. Silence. No one could deny it. I stood up and told everyone: Take your belongings. We are shutting down. 😭😭 The factory closed for one year. That was it. I had had enough. Painful… because it was the second factory I had to shut down. But here’s the twist… When we bounced back, my sister and that young boy became the backbone of the business. Today, she is the Managing Director, and that same boy is Head of Production in my yoghurt company. I sponsored him through school — he is studing Microbiology. Today, they run a billion-naira business. Never give up. Now you understand why I can sleep peacefully, even from far away England. 😊

One of my financial mistakes 2024 i opened a pure water factory for additional income. In fact in my head I had imagined that it’s blood money business I was about to enter because I felt the expenses will be small so I imagined plenty profit. In my mind I said after all I’m not buying the water. Anyway let me first use 5 minutes to laugh at my self first before I start 😂😂😂 I bought every machine it needed to Nafdac standard,I also registered it with Nafdac so my sale was very legit. That gave me my first experience with Nafdac I started with 3 cars,a hilux truck and 2 open boot bikes. We kicked off and my reality set in. First of all printing of roll was more expensive than i thought, already taking half of my money. Then as a producer our price is usually regulated with other factories,we cannot give drivers higher than other factories because we had a union binding us and it was part of our rules. We are producers so we don’t sell directly,we give to drivers at cheaper rate then they sell and make their money. As at that time I was giving each bag of water to my drivers at 120 naira a bag sometimes 150. Now I will still buy fuel for the cars ooo Even when i considered the option of them buying fuel and adjusting their price I still suffered for it. I also pay each bagger 10 naira to bag 1 bag, this is minus other salaries of the people in production handling the major sealing machines ooo I was burning electricity and light bill as if fire was burning my Nyash. I changed filters every two weeks and it’s not cheap I ran diesel to support Nepa because of course I live in Nigerian. I had so many staffs on salaries too and there are so many other expenses i cannot say all here. Abi is it car maintenance, story for another day 🥱 Drivers will owe me and they kept giving excuses that customers are owing them, all lies, infact me,drivers and police station became customers every week. I gave most of this drivers accommodation ooo but the truth is they are full blown thieves. At the end of every sales I make money but it goes like the wind to expenses and I will be left with only money to replace the rolls to produce again. To cut the long story short I was close to running madd then I shut down the business and I regained my sanity. If you have ever ran a pure water business you will understand this post better than anyone else, and if you intend to open a pure water factory first go to Amadioha and take juju make all your workers first swear oath before you start and take jazz not to run madd. Which business showed you shege? © Belle Kingdom

@Olaworeabi18417 @Letter_to_Jack @TTPLTD_NG is the answer. FG introduced call-up system through TTP, in collaboration with LGS. TTP introduced truck parks where all port bound trucks park before they are called to the port. Now, you park on the road, you face the music.

People don’t understand bottlenecks and how frustrating they can be. Let me give you a real example: Ogun State reconstructed a federal road in collaboration with Lagos State Government. About a year later, truck drivers began parking along the road at the toll section, both illegally and by exploiting grey areas of the law. People complained endlessly about petrol and diesel tankers parking everywhere along the road. The complaints were escalated to the authorities. The Governor directed TRACE (ogun State traffic management body) to remove all trucks from the road. They moved in to remove the trucks. The truck drivers went to court and argued that TRACE has no authority over federal roads. They won. TRACE is appealing the judgement, but the trucks are still there. People are still complaining, saying government has refused to do anything regarding the concerns raised over that spot. To them, government is not doing anything. They don’t know that “people” have defeated government with technicalities. They used technicality to stop the system.

@Alakatunde @egi_nupe They could set up an account where certain % of government earnings goes into funding the judiciary... eg, oil sales, NIRS earnings, etc, it's all about making it a law.

@egi_nupe I agree that appointments should be handled independently, with the NJC taking the lead. My concern, however, is how the judiciary will generate its own funds sustainably to cover salaries and welfare without compromising its independence.

It should start from appointment. The executive should not be appointing judges and justices. Let NJC handle it and let judiciary generate its funds independently as well; to pay salaries and other welfare of its officers and staff.
Duke Of Nigeria.@xagreat

The executive should not be building houses and buying cars for judges. The judiciary is an arm of government that deserves its own budget to function independently, Wike should be arrested for building houses for judges.

Go study Nigerian Politics from 1930s to 1950s. You will understand why you must be deeply conservative and never forget that your enemies are already on your land, in your spaces, in your offices, in your churches, in your mosques, in your markets and in your schools. Waiting, studying and lurking to covet, collect, inherit or destroy what you have built and laboured for. They want it all, your children, your traditions, your religions, your politics, your progress, your birthright, your indigeneship. They want it all. And the plans were concluded decades before your father's were born, so if you like snooze.

@Ev256 @NigAffairs @woye1 That's not possible. In fact, manual collation is the primary means of collation. What happens to transmission of results in villages without network. Are you planning to disenfranchise millions of voters? Secondly, how do you collate votes that were done manually?

@NigAffairs @woye1 The senators are not even serious about this electoral reform. Remove manual collation completely, so that every poling unit transmits their results to the INEC server for collation. It's that simple.

The Senate has not removed any means of transmission. If you want to use a bicycle to carry your votes from one polling unit to the ward centre, do so. If you want to use your phone to transmit, do so. If you want to use your iPad, do so. All we said was that we should remove the word ‘real time,’ because if you say real time and there is grid failure and the network is not working, when you go to court somebody will say it ought to have been real time. That was what we said. We left the burden for INEC to determine the mode of transmission of votes. - Senate President Akpabio insists that the Senate did not remove electronic transmission of election results, clarifying that lawmakers only questioned the requirement for real-time transmission
Nigerian Affairs Journal@NigAffairs

There's a man who heads one Civil Society Organization (CSO). I saw him on TV the other day abusing the Senate. The Senate that he makes money from. He said this Senate is the worst. The Electoral Act amendment is incomplete. We have not completed it, but they are already on television. They don’t understand lawmaking. They don’t even know that what is in the Senate is not completed until we look at the Votes and Proceedings. When we bring out the votes and proceedings, any senator has a right to rise and say, 'On clause three, this was what we agreed upon. And if those who are recording through the verbatim recorder disagree or agree, we amend it before we approve the votes and proceedings.' That is the only time you can talk about what the Senate has done or not done. But already people are on the television abusing the Senate. People have become mouth legislators. Go and contest election if you want to talk about lawmaking and go and join them and make the law. Retreats are not lawmaking; retreats are part of consultations. So why do you think that the paper you agreed in Lagos during a retreat must be what is agreed on the floor? - Senate President Akpabio responds to critics over the Electoral Act amendment
