Ever wondered how deep underground metro stations in China really go? In this video, I captured a timelapse showing just how far down an average metro station can be and trust me, some are deeper than this , especially in Chongqing. What fascinates me the most is not just the depth sha, but the engineering behind it. These stations are designed to handle thousands of people daily while staying efficient, clean, and incredibly organized. Watching it in timelapse makes you really appreciate the scale and precision that goes into building and maintaining such infrastructure.

Something happened today during one of my Chinese classes. Our teacher was explaining something and cited my tribal mark as an example saying “I had a scar” I told her it wasn’t a scar but a tribal mark. I then went ahead to explain what a tribal mark was, but she couldn’t understand 🫠 It was a funny interaction trying hard to explain your culture to another. 😅

Done and dusted. The secret? There is another hole on the container which he's using his thumb to block. As soon as he lifts his thumb away from the hole, air enters through the hole and the water starts dripping. The side hole is the “air door.” Air rushes in through that little side hole, and water happily runs out the bottom holes. For every drop that leaves the bottom, air has to sneak in somewhere to take its place.
