Old Earth Year 2

As the weather gets colder , the children will need in and outdoor kits for P.E.with suitable footwear. Kit bags will be coming home today, to be back in school 2.11.25

During P.E we are working on our ball control.

Tomorrow is our annual coffee morning for charity. We look forward to seeing you all in the hall. All donations of baking will be gratefully received. Thank you in advance all for your support.

During P.E we have been practicing our running skills for events throughout the year. We have some fantastic runners 🏃‍♀️

Last week , we harvested some of the school apples. We ate a few, we chopped a few to make a crumble and we also used a few to do some printing with paint. We have enjoyed our apples this year.

Sports Day 2025! We had so much fun on Monday at our annual Sports Day. We are so proud of all of our children in Year 2 and how they were so determined, and cheered on their teammates. Thank you to those who came to support us!

We have had a lovely morning tasting the spaghetti and soup we made with Miss Fox yesterday. Our garlic bread cooking in the kitchen ready for us to enjoy ynid afternoon. Thank you Miss Fox!!

Class 5 - understanding the principles of running at speed

Class 5 have absolutely loved their trip to The Piece Hall this morning, learning even more amazing,historical facts.

Class 6 loved their afternoon at Cromwell Bottom, tasting honey and learning some new things about Bees and how they make honey. Class 5 look forward to their trip on Thursday

We dissected a bean seed and explored what seeds have inside of them (seed coat, food store, baby plant).

In Year 2 Science we are learning about Plants this term. We set up an experiment to find out what makes a plan healthy or unhealthy.

We loved our trip to All Saints Church yesterday! We enjoyed learning new things about Christians and their place of worship.
