Had an ECG this AM. Came with a heart ultrasound which wad a bit of a surprise. Couldn't see what was going on but a lot of clicks on her keyboard🤔

a doubly linked list normally needs 2 pointers per node: prev and next but there’s this weird old trick where you can store both in a single pointer using xor the whole thing works because of this property: A ^ B ^ A = B so if a node stores prev ^ next, and you already know one of them, you can recover the other. kinda confusing but also genius each node uses half the pointer memory of a normal doubly linked list, and you can still traverse both directions with the same field also this only really works in c/c++, in python and java can’t do it properly because garbage collectors move objects around in memory, which breaks the xor pointer math

It is deeply troubling to watch elected officials advocate for silencing citizens who participated in a lawful democratic process simply because they disagree with the issue being raised. This is not even about debating the pros and cons of independence. This is about an organized effort by elected officials to silence citizens from participating in a lawful democratic process, and that should concern everyone. You do not have to support independence to recognize how dangerous that is. Once governments, political actors, and courts begin deciding which citizen-led issues are acceptable to discuss, democratic participation stops being a right and becomes a permission granted by those in power. Today it is this petition. Tomorrow it could be any issue the political class finds inconvenient. Citizens do not hold institutional power. Their voice is their power. And when lawful democratic processes are undermined to prevent citizens from even being heard, public trust in democracy itself begins to collapse.

@R21289Jeff I don't think so. You seem to be cheering on judge appointments which are left leaning. The ruling against the petition and consultations is fantasy. It's just a petition. How is anyone harmed by it? Duty to consult is predicated upon harm. What harm does a petition do?
