Just finished working a Food & Wine festival for the first time and I got to say I've never seen a group of rich middle aged people that hammered in broad daylight before.

@amcprtd Here in NC you can buy beer and wine in a grocery store or at a gas station, but liquor is sold only through state-regulated stores operated at the county level that don't sell beer or wine. It works completely different in other states. And counties can have their own regs.

@amcprtd Alcohol laws are wildly inconsistent in the States; when Congress ended federal Prohibition (with a capital P) in 1933, the sweetener to get enough states to go along was that states would have full autonomy to set their own alcohol laws, which is still the case.
