@MarvelusMrGizmo Hey! Honestly, ideas about the story are still a bit hazy. I definitely want the interactions between all members of your group to play key role. On the background, a story of a King who lost his son is looming. It should be an upbeat game though. (Sorry for answering so late :)

@jadurant02 I'd say, sketch ~0.5h (several iterations, checking tiling), lowpoly model ~1h (making tiling/size work), zbrush ~4h (chipping edges), ~0.5h texture baking (+fixing things), ~1h fixing tiling of occlusion/normal/heightmap, ~2h painting the texture, ~1h tweaking. Adds up to ~10h.

@OldWolfGames Having done it this way myself in the past and also using other programs, I recommend looking into Substance Designer. You can achieve the same look in less time (easier to make it tile and make variations). Looks very nice though!

@Spec7raL_ I'm an old fart so I use Photoshop (step 1+5), 3dsMax (2), ZBrush (3), xNormal(4). Steps 1+4+5 could be done in Painter and 2+3 in ZBrush directly, reducing the software count to 2.

My game has an Inventory and a Character sheet now! Armor and weapons can be d&d'd between them. Next step: linking GearGenerator to items. (I'm using borrowed icons for now, I hope the author doesn't mind. Sorry!)
