#NorthShields The Robin Hood Inn North Shields having been damaged during Luftwaffe bombing in World War Two.

The Robin Hood survived the heavy North Shields bombing, though only just. Beacon Street was bombed during raids in 1941 that killed 2. This, amongst presumed others, left it compromised and left the pub a notorious reputation of being wonky.

It's impossible to sift through North Shields without mentioning Northumberland Square. This wide & rainkissed square is older than Newcastle's Grainger Town by 25 years and doesn't get as much recognition as it surely deserves.
