The National Skills Fund awarded R148-million to Flyfofa Aviation Training to help young people from disadvantaged schools pursue careers as pilots and cabin crew. But within a year, the flying hours the school claimed did not match students' pilot logbooks, resulting in an estimated R3.8-million discrepancy, according to the NSF. Our latest explainer breaks down what amaBhungane uncovered and why the findings raise serious questions about the oversight of public funds. Watch the video below, then read the full investigation: amabhungane.org/aviation-coupl…

Limukani Mathe Ph.D@DrLimukaniMathe

Jacinta @JacintaNgobese look what you have done. You making the elders travel all over Africa making amends because of the damage you have caused to Africa. Recently Thabo Mbeki was crying. Now Isilo with all the other kings in Eastern Cape find themselves in Zimbabwe asking for peace . Now they will be forced to Travel to Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia etcetera because of the problems children cause for the parents. Akuzibuke uzibuze ukuthi 'nto oyenzayo ilungile yini phambili kukaNkulunkulu naBantu.

After conducting an unannounced oversight visit at the NSFAS offices we discovered that the 4 middleman companies, we were told were terminated, are still performing functions on behalf of NSFAS. NSFAS could be spending over 220 Million EVERY YEAR on 4 middleman companies! Just imagine how many students could be funded if this money was not wasted on these schemes? This is beyond greed. It’s sickening! We have written to Buti Manamela to explain this blatant heist of public resources.
