@Supersonic_Red Life certainly doesn’t come with guarantees and far too many people assume the opposite. It’s a recipe for misery.

What’s striking about the negative replies isn’t disagreement. It’s the mindset behind them. So much of it boils down to “poor me” and “it’s not fair,” as if fairness has ever been the governing force in anything that matters.
Command and control are real. Always have been. You can’t control the wind, the sea, or the chaos around you, but you can control how you respond to it. You can drift, carried wherever circumstances take you, or you can trim the sail, take a bearing, and move with purpose.
Life doesn’t come with guarantees. It doesn’t hand out fairness, and it certainly doesn’t owe anyone happiness. That part is on you. What you build, how you adapt, how you move forward when things don’t go your way.

Food is plentiful. Water is clean. My church is open. Guns are readily available. Roads are traversable. General Aviation is within reach of well over half of our population. Schools are available. Homeschooling is available. Emergency/trauma healthcare is beyond excellent - bordering on miraculous. The entire wealth of human knowledge is at your fingertips. First responders are eager to do their jobs. The military is willing to fight for us. The government is a predictable trainwreck, but it’s getting better. Business opportunities abound. I could go on… If you are going to focus on the negative, you will only see the negative.
