I am so tired of people complaining about talking heads in paleo docs. There are certainly many ways to do it wrong but there are also ways to do it right and I am so sick of people whining, "but muh immersion!", shut up and you might actually learn something.

I don't think you have to explain that much, put it on your ToS that you don't take AI references. I've had my work fried through AI for taking in clients like that... When people can't describe anything in the most basic ways, there will be friction.

some advice i wish i had known earlier! 🙏 1. flip the canvas occasionally, it's easier to spot mistakes 2. studying pays off! focus on something you'd like to improve and study techniques from artists you admire. dedicating time to this may seem like a drawback at first, but it'll be worth it as you'll see results and work faster in the future. 3. zooming out and viewing the piece as a thumbnail allows you to see it as a whole and not focus excessively on details that may not be that important to the overall artwork! (and therefore, save you lots of time!) 4. related to no.1, stepping away from your artwork for a while and getting back to it later helps you spot mistakes too 5. don't be afraid to evolve. my art used to be very line art based for 15+ yrs until i started having wrist pains in 2024, so i started focusing more on shapes using colors. my drawing process is completely different now compared to before, but I'm happy with the results!
