Well- our city leaders are part of this! Businesses are still departing. Seattle is at the bottom of the list for recovery amongst US cities- and I still feel like no one cares to focus on downtown recovery in a productive way.

Another huge one! @PCC closing in downtown. Our government still thinks we are recovering. WE ARE NOT. @PiroshkyBakery location on pike and 3rd still down 70% and no improvement in sight

ANOTHER ONE LEAVING: Hardrock Cafe(@HardRock) announced it's exiting Seattle's downtown core. No reason was given. But the restaurant is located just minutes from the notorious 3rd Ave & Pike St. crime corner. I think it's fair to say the atmosphere wasn't good for business. 66 people will lose jobs and the final day will be Dec 1. In it's statement to the Puget Sound Biz Journal, the company says it is "open to another location within the Seattle market, if the right space can be identified." That's code for anywhere without open air drug dens and a thriving black market of stolen goods. And probably a safe location with lots of cops for a nice change of pace. They are still trying to make money. 🙃 #Seattle

@OlgaSaganWA It's not a progressive city politically because of the people that liberals keep electing. Pay your employees a living wage.

Now that I am no longer candidate for Seattle City Council. Big question is why our so called “progressive” city encourages the expansion of industry of mental illness, drug addiction, homelessness and hurt- rather than investing in treatment and prevention of that industry
