🚨🇪🇸🇮🇷 Spain says no to this war. Noted.

They care for aging parents, work in small and large companies, and harvest the food on our tables. On weekends, they walk in our parks and play on the local amateur soccer team. For me, the choice is clear. Here is my article for @nytimes: nytimes.com/2026/02/04/opi…

Yolanda Díaz, Spain's Deputy Prime Minister under Pedro Sánchez, slams Elon Musk and says that the government is going to exhaustively regulate X and other American tech companies.

🚨🇺🇸🇪🇺 HOUSE REPUBLICANS SLAM EU FOR WEAPONIZING DIGITAL SERVICES ACT AGAINST X Nearly $150 million in fines over things like delivering ad data in spreadsheets instead of on-site. The EU is also threatening a total ban and launched a probe into Grok. The Grok investigation is just the beginning. If they can force X to comply, every other platform gets the same treatment. The EU wants to be the global speech police without having to win a single election outside their borders. Source: @JudiciaryGOP

Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez: Starting next week, my government will implement the following actions: First, we will change the law in Spain to hold platform executives legally accountable for many infringements taking place on their sites. Second, we will turn algorithmic manipulation and amplification of illegal content into a new criminal offense. Third, we will implement a hate and polarization footprint system to track, quantify, and expose how digital platforms fuel division and amplify hate. Fourth, Spain will ban access to social media for minors under the age of 16. Platforms will be required to implement effective age verification systems — not just checkboxes, but real barriers that work. Fifth and last, my government will work with our public prosecutor to investigate and pursue the infringement committed by Grok, TikTok, and Instagram.
