But this time, this year he will be celebrating his birthday at home but sadly doesn't have any friends cos he is always in d hospital. Now she posts and asks if people can just drive by and say hello and happy birthday to her son between 2 and 3pm and this was how people showed up for her.

My dad is a lecturer in a Nigerian polytechnic. He will be retiring in four years time, this is what I suggested and he bought the idea. I have gotten him a tripod stand. He will mount his tripod to cover all his classes, connect a mic to his phone to pick his voice clearly. Post them on YouTube. Share the link with his students to watch the replay of the class. No notes. He has over 200 students in his class and has courses from year 1 to year 4. So he is sure of getting over 1k views on his 1-2hrs lecture videos. In a month, he should have a Minimum of 4k views. Give or take 3 - 6 months, the channel gets monetised. In 2-3 years as a lecturer, he should start earning up to $1k on YouTube. I already have a YouTube channel, setting him up wouldn't be hard. It's 2026, we can't keep thinking like in the 90s about generating income. He doesnt need a laptop, just a smart phone, tripod stand and his good to go. Or what do you guys think?

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Today, I turn a year older. And every year on this day, I reflect on something far bigger than me. For a long time, I believed luck was something that just happens to you. Then I realised, luck can be engineered. Opportunity can be democratised. Hope is not just a feeling; it is a system we can build.

Guide well as a Man, make them no use you guide. Happy Eid el Fitr
Obidient Peter@Onihax

This post made me remember something that happened to a guy I know in Lagos. He was dating two women at different points in his life. The first one, Tolu, was earning around ₦100k monthly. Nothing fancy. She lived modestly, budgeted everything, and still found a way to show up for him. If he was broke, she would quietly handle small bills. If he complained about transport, she’d send something without making noise. Not because she had plenty… but because in her mind, “we are building together.” She never used the word “my money.” It was always “how do we sort this?” Fast forward a year later, things didn’t work out for unrelated reasons. Then he met Amara. Amara was doing very well. Remote job. Earning over ₦4m monthly. Soft life, vacations, designer everything. At first, he felt like he had “made it.” But reality started showing small small. If they went out, it was always “you’re the man, you should handle it.” If he had a rough month, her response was, “I can’t start carrying a man financially.” Even basic emotional support came with conditions. One day, NEPA took light in his area and his inverter spoiled. He joked about it, expecting maybe concern or even advice. Her reply? “Just fix it. You’re a man.” That day, something shifted in his head. Because he remembered how someone earning ₦100k once said, “Don’t worry, we’ll figure it out together.” No noise. No pride. No competition. Just partnership. He didn’t end it immediately… but mentally, he had already checked out. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about how much someone earns. It’s about whether they see life as me vs you… or us vs the problem.

🚨 Breaking News 😳❤️❤️❤️ Rihanna has allegedly revealed that for over 3 years, she hasn’t spent a single dollar on household expenses 😮 According to reports, A$AP Rocky pays EVERY bill, takes care of the kids, supports her businesses, and handles the home like a real family head 👑❤️ That’s why Rihanna gets upset when people claim Rocky married her for money — she insists he has never asked her for help or taken anything from her. Fans are calling it a rare, real partnership — love, responsibility, and pride without ego. 💭 Moral lesson: Not everyone is hungry for money. Real love still exists, and there are still great men and women out here 🙏❤️
