“I was willing to continue with the matter despite the conflict of interest but after the decision by some of our comrades to ensure that another lawyer comes in and takes over the proceedings, forced me to willfully withdrew my appearance so that another bail application can be filed and the case can proceed on Monday. I still want Justice for Just Crack. — Barrister Marshall.

Some of these activists and Barrister Femi and some other lawyers in the defense counsel must also take a share of the blame. Instead of focusing on securing the release of Justice Crack from detention, they chose to air their personal grievances against Barrister Marshall in court this morning, allegedly for his association with VDM. Why protest that the lead counsel should step aside for another lawyer simply because you dislike his friend VDM and what he said about the group? You cannot allow emotion to override logic in a matter as serious as this. The priority today should have been getting Justice Crack out of detention.
