🇸🇪 Udoka Chima scored his first goal for FC Gute at the weekend. The 23-year-old defender joined the Swedish fourth-tier club earlier this year. He was brought to the club by fellow Englishman Kwesi Kyei who works in analysis and recruitment. Chima, who has previously played in Canada and Luxembourg, was able to make the move because he has an Italian passport. Since Brexit, it has been difficult for English players to play in the lower leagues in Sweden. Prior to that, the fourth-tier in Sweden was a hotbed for English talent. Now only those with EU passports can make the move easily. In fact, Gute's opponents at the weekend were Ytterhogdals who had Oliver Lahtinen-Kalsi in their lineup. The former Aldershot man was able to make the move abroad due to having a Finnish passport. There were seasons in the past where nearly the entire Ytterhogdals lineup had been made up of players from the UK.
