NDC vs INEC – Simple Explanation Around 2017, Seriake Dickson and others began registering the NDC as a political party under Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), led then by Mahmood Yakubu. After registration, INEC objected to NDC’s logo (✌️ two fingers), claiming it was similar to the logo of All Progressives Congress (APC). Important: APC itself never complained only INEC raised the issue. INEC ordered NDC to change the logo or risk losing recognition as a political party. NDC disagreed, insisting their logo (✌️) is clearly different from APC’s broom symbol. INEC went ahead and refused to recognise NDC as a political party. NDC took the matter to the Federal High Court. In 2025, the court ruled in favour of NDC, stating: The logo is not similar to APC’s. INEC must recognise NDC as a political party. INEC must accept its logo and leadership. INEC had time to appeal the judgment but did not. Instead, under new leadership, it implemented the court order and recognised NDC. Because the appeal period has now expired, the judgment is final. Only INEC had the legal right to appeal not APC or anyone else. Bottom line: NDC is officially recognised today because of a final court judgment, and there is no legal issue or cause for concern anymore. ✌️

As a Yorùbá man, it is not MORALLY possible for you to be an Awoist and not be an Obidient. Let me explain: 1. Awolowo was all about access to quality education, hence the Free Education Program of the 1950s/60s during the Western Regional Government, and the Western States in the 2nd republic. Obi has always been ALL about access to quality education. Throughout his stint as Governor of Anambra State, he funded education aggressively, engaged with stakeholders at all levels - including famously, the students themselves, and turned Anambra around from being the dullards of the Nigerian class to first amongst equals in education, a legacy which can still be seen today in Anambra state. 2. Awolowo believed that a nation that could not feed itself was a nation in bondage, hence his intentional embedding of the idea of growing our food and cash crops. Agriculture was the foundation of the incredibly robust economy of the Western Region - hence the integration of songs like "Ìwé kíkọ́, Láì sí ọkọ́ Àti àdá Kòyì pé ọ Iṣẹ́ àgbẹ̀ ni iṣẹ́ ilẹ̀ wa Ẹni kò ṣ'iṣẹ́ Á mà ja'lè......" Obi has spoken time and again about his intention to turn the vast lands of Nigeria, in particular, the North, into agricultural havens, making poignant comparisons between the sizes of Niger State and certain European food production powerhouses. 3. One of the Awolowo Western Region administration's strongest points was its robust industrialisation policy, which saw it use the NIPC, which the military later CONVERTED - to put it politely - into the NIDB, to provide financing for a plethora of local industries, whilst also working hard, very successfully, to attract foreign investment, using the sprawling Ikeja Industrial Estate as it's hub, which is why Guineas, Nigerite, Coca-Cola abd others set up shop in Ikeja and why Portland Cement also came into Nigeria. Obi is constantly talking about moving Nigeria from Consumption to Production, and his industrial legacy in Anambra state remains to this day. 4. Talk about health care, Awolowo had a free healthcare policy which carried all the way from the 1950s, through changes in regime, into the 2nd republic. Peter Obi spent more than ₦300m of his personal money on health care donations last year, 10 times more than the measly ₦38m the entire Tinubu administration appropriated for health last year, whilst spending billions on Tinubu's fruitless and meaningless trips to France. By their fruits shall we know them. In all of these areas, the records of Tinubu and the other aspirant are well known in their UTTER absence. Tinubu has worked harder than anybody to destroy the educational culture of the Yorubas in particular and now Nigerians in general. He has worked extremely hard, by using the armed forces to protect Fulani Muslim Jihadist Terrorists killing farmers, to starve the people of Nigeria, and cosying up to the deranged philantropath billionaire, Bill Gates, to destroy our agriculture by replacing locall, healthy, God-given crops with lab grown, poisonous GMOs. Only an ignorant Yorùbá man or woman, who does not know history, would not see the similarities between Peter Obi and Chief Obafemi Awolowo's policies. Only a blind and wicked Yorùbá person would make any attempt to compare the man who calls himself Bola Tinubu to the great sage, Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, of blessed memory.

Any single Oba in Yorubaland that dares to desecrate their crown by ordering any Yorùbá Ọmọluabi to support a failure will have only himself to blame. Gone are the days when our traditional institutions were bastardised for greedy, grasping, furtive, selfish, ruthless, evil, wicked politicians.
Montero - Olu Lewis@Montero1016

Any Yorubaman who goes against Asiwaju Tinubu or say he hasn't done well is a bastard. All Obas will give Royal order when its time that its Tinubu or Nothing. He has given us projects & elevated Yorubas" - The heir to the Obatala dynasty, HRM Oba Peter Ilufemiloye, The Olufon of Ifon. Tag a Yoruba but. 😁

@jrnaib2 Hypocrite, are you aware that over the years Nigerian Brewery declares the highest profit on sales in the north? The north has always been the center of addiction and you of all people know this for a fact.

Save Our Democracy. The Supreme Court of Nigeria has consistently held that lower courts should not interfere in the internal affairs of political parties. Proof: March 21, 2025 Supreme Court judgment: “No court has jurisdiction to entertain cases bordering on the internal affairs of political parties.” SDP vs INEC case: The Court reaffirmed “the long-settled legal position that the internal affairs of political parties are for the parties alone to determine” and are “beyond the reach of external interference.” Electoral Act 2026 Section 83(5): “No court in Nigeria shall entertain jurisdiction over any suit or matter pertaining to the internal affairs of a political party.” It also prescribes fines of ₦10 million or more for lawyers who file such cases. Exception: Courts may intervene in disputes arising from party primaries under the Electoral Act. However, matters such as leadership, conventions, membership, and suspensions remain internal affairs and are generally not justiciable. All in the effort to stop one man HE PO. We will survive this in sha Allah punchng.com/court-restrain…

Professor Joash Amupitan, your tenure has become a liability to Nigeria’s democracy. Amidst grave allegations of partisanship and a total collapse of public trust, your immediate resignation is necessary to preserve the sanctity of the 2027 elections.

Whenever I see this guy, I view him as an APC supporter pretending to join the coalition. He is an enemy of a new Nigeria, he works for Atiku's dollars, and he is creating more enemies for him. He should be sanctioned. There’s nothing that sets him apart from the “Agbados.”

Show us a video of Goodluck Jonathan supporting Peter Obi like he did for Atiku Abubakar in 2019; only then will we agree that he isn't contesting in 2027. Otherwise, we still believe a Jonathan/Kwankwaso ticket would be a solid Plan B for the ADC.
