We are all capable of loving, being gentle, kind and humane, as well as being a better version of who we were yesterday. When we do these, the world will be a better place.

“Up till now, I don't have any recent picture of my kids. When I ask their mom for new pictures, she refuses. I have my kids number and they read my messages, but they don't answer. They don’t answer my call either." — Ex Arsenal player, Emmanuel Eboue

Dangote calls for a visa-free policy for all Africans to ensure free movement within Africa: I would like to use this opportunity, especially to urge Kenyan President Ruto, to convince his colleagues to allow the free movement of goods, services, and people. Today, with a European passport, you can move faster in Africa than as an African, which I believe must change. Why can't we allow visa-free travel for all Africans?

In those countries, even after retirement, public servants are deployed to SOEs. My friend, William should stop engaging in pseudo science. He should provide comparative data to back up his claims. @DumaGqubule

In China as an example, more than 80% of civil servants are members of the Communist Party. Yet members of the Communist Party constitute about 10% of China’s population. Has my friend, William hear of the revolving door phenomenon in both South Korea and Singapore?

@william_gumede is wrong to claim that cadre deployment is the root cause of South Africa's decline. He claimed successful emerging economies don't do same without providing data to back up his claim. In all the developmental states, cadre deployment is the norm.

@Enghumbhini I don’t believe that an overthrow of the market is on the table, at least not for now. There are markets that are more inclusive than others: Scandinavia, Singapore & others in the East. These were done through carefully crafted policy that aligned transformation with excellence.

1. While I sympathise with President Ramaphosa not succumbing to political pressure from politically connected individuals associated with a state capture project in the US, and insisting that the rules apply equally to all, I do think a deliberation is warranted on BEE.

WATCH | President Cyril Ramaphosa firmly states that Black Economic Empowerment and Affirmative Action are here to stay, declaring that “those who say BEE and Affirmative Action must stop are just dreaming.”

When the enemy keeps coming against you, your mind, your life, etc declare with authority... SHUT UP DEVIL‼️‼️ You have no authority here. The blood of Jesus has already silenced every accusation you’re trying to bring against my life. You are a defeated foe speaking from a position of zero power. Romans 16:20 says the God of peace will crush Satan under our feet…and that crushing has already been decreed over my life. You don’t get to narrate my story. You don’t get to define my future.

I just an incredibly intense premonition as I walked through Central Park in New York: of Arsenal beating City on Sunday, 1-0, with a header by Gabriel from a disputed 98th minute corner.

At the end of Mass in Bamenda on Thursday, as Pope Leo XIV was about to get his car to return to the airport, a little Cameroonian girl ran up to the Pope, and he hugged her, paused for a photo, and gave her a Rosary.

Foreign interests working against Africa's growth, says Dangote Aliko Dangote, founder and president of the Dangote Group, says foreign interests are working against Africa’s growth. The billionaire spoke on Thursday at the Investing in Africa forum, held on the sidelines of the ongoing IMF-World Bank spring meetings in Washington, DC. Calling for stronger regional integration, the philanthropist dismissed the idea of successful implementation of a single African market without a functioning regional market. “The Africa free trade will work, but it can only work when the regional markets work,” the industrialist said. thecable.ng/foreign-intere…
