My friend was admitted 2 days ago in @_KarenHospital and the bill is over Sh. 600,000 now. On top of that, we have been trying to get discharged since 2pm and up to now they have not cleared, they want to add another 300k tonight. This is exploitation of patients & has to stop

Apart from the Level 6 hospitals, is there any Level 5 ama L.4 hospital in the entire country with a functioning endoscopy unit? All patients with upper GI bleeding are always referred to private hospitals usiku. Hata kwa yule wa mabarua patients wote ni nje doctor's plaza.

Young doctors in Kenya are being turned into shock absorbers for a broken private healthcare financing system. Hospitals enter contracts with insurers, agree on credit terms, and continue offering services. But when payments delay, the burden is quietly shifted downstream. “Doc, hatuwezi kulipa sai, insurance mingi hazijalipa.” Logically, this makes no sense. Doctors are not signatories to these contracts. They don’t negotiate rates, payment timelines or claims processes. Yet they are the ones forced to extend unsecured credit with their labor, often for months. Young doctors should not be expected to work indefinitely on the promise that a third party might pay “someday”. This isn’t just a cash flow issue, it’s a transfer of financial risk to the youngest, least empowered cadre in the system. It’s unjust. It’s unsustainable. And it’s time we called it what it is, exploitation. @kmpdu

@simba_guleid We can't mitigate drought, the nomadic lifestyle is no longer sustainable, we cant even feel development from the county because of poor settlement. If we want to fix all those we have to move more than 90% of these clan settlements and have fewer major towns and....

I pay 13,000 per month to SHA. You surely don't expect me to get the same services as people paying 300 bob especially after I told SHA to take my 6000 medical allowance and give me an enhanced cover. You too can do the same.

Idk who needs to hear this but this cream has dangerous amount of mercury. Almost upto 7000ppm. The recognised safe limit is 1 ppm. Soo please don't give yourself mercury poisoning( and yeah I seen a tiktok talking about cure for hyperpigmentation) utakufa vibaya ww. Be informed
