Having spent 6 years in prison on a charge of murder, NALA is pleased to secure the release of a woman (our client) in her late 40s from Mile II Central Prison. This came due to a judgment delivered sometime in 2022 wherein a judge gave a special verdict (guilty but insane).

@FabakaryJammeh It’s unfortunate and as rightly stated it should be the primary responsibility of the government to guarantee access to justice. This responsibility cannot be achieved without policies that are geared towards strengthening institutions like NALA. NALA has been neglected. Sad !
