FINALLY My Hitscan Hyperlight Review Introduction This review took me a long time to write, and i can confidently say this is one if not the best wireless mouse i have got my hands on, i like it so much i have bought the Black and the White version with my own money and i even got lucky enought to win the limited edition Printstream versions in a official giveaway. Finally now i feel comfortable providing a long-term assessment after using it every day for almost five months as my primary wireless mouse and testing it in a lot of competitive games such as: Valorant, Apex Legends, Marvel Rivals, and Strinova and i have used it Aimlab and Kovaaks too. I utilize an aggressive claw grip, and my hands are 18 by 10 cm. Packaging Hitscan keeps the presentation clean and efficient. Inside the box you’ll find the mouse, a 1K dongle, stock PTFE skates, and documentation. The 8K dongle must be purchased separately. The packaging feels sturdy and well thought out. Nothing excessive, but definitely solid. Design and build quality Although the Razer Viper Mini served as a clear inspiration for the Hyperlight's design, it subtly enhances it. Claw users will have more grip security because the sides feel more polished and slightly better contoured. All three of my units weigh about 40 grams, which is remarkably light without being void. Changes in direction seem quite natural because the balance is precisely in the middle, just beneath the first side button. Even though the base is open, none of my copies bend or creak when used normally. It feels much more substantial structurally than its weight may indicate. Over time, dust may build up underneath, but not too much. It is perfect for tiny to medium-sized hands because to its size. Unless they like fingertip, large hands may find it difficult. Performance & Sensor The PAW3395 sensor operates flawlessly, as anticipated. The Hyperlight has been tested at polling rates of 1K, 2K, 4K, and 8K. Tracking has been flawlessly stable in every setup, with no discernible smoothness, spinouts, or LOD irregularities. Like every contemporary mouse that offers higher polling rates, there is a slight variation between 1K and 4K. 8K functions fine, however as anticipated, battery life drastically decreases. The mouse feels quick and in control in fast-paced competitive first-person shooter games. The flick precision and micro-adjustments are improved by the centralized weight distribution. Switches & Clicks One of this mouse's best features is the Omron optical switches. In all honesty, this is among the greatest Omron optical switch implementations I've ever seen. All three units have incredibly consistent, clear, and well-tensioned clicks. There is no discernible pre-travel or post-travel. Without being unduly harsh, the sound profile is clear and pleasing. Side buttons are properly positioned for vigorous claw usage and don't jiggle. Even in high-pressure clutch scenarios, I have never had an unintentional press. The steps on the scroll wheel are distinct without being unduly rigid. None of my units experienced noise problems, and the middle click is steady and balanced. Battery & Wireless Performance Battery performance is respectable considering the 250mAh capacity. At 1,000Hz, I consistently get around 75 hours. At 2,000Hz, around 40 to 60 hours depending on usage. At 8,000Hz, roughly 15 to 20 hours. Wireless stability has been flawless in my experience. Coating & Feet It's interesting to note that the White version has a somewhat rougher texture than the Black one. The texture of the Printstream is almost the same as that of the White. They don't all need grip tape. The stock PTFE skates are really great. I never felt the need to change them on one of my units. I experimented with alternatives on the other copies for testing, but the stock skates are very competitive. I tested the mouse on a variety of pads, such as Wallhack, Vaxee PA, Xtrfy GP4, Artisan Raiden mid and zero soft, Aqua Control plus, and a number of glass and hybrid surfaces. Glide has been reliable and scratch-free. Software The software is simple to use and lightweight. It permits settings for LOD, polling rate, and DPI. Although some users would prefer a web-based driver, the application itself is straightforward and useful. Conclusion The Hitscan Hyperlight is still my primary wireless mouse after five months of nonstop use; in my personal ranking, it is only surpassed by the OP1 8K. It is rightfully regarded as one of the best releases of 2024 and easily ranks in my Top 3. This is a simple suggestion if you love claw grip and have tiny to medium hands. The design could feel too small for people who utilize a palm grip or have larger hands. @HitscanOfficial definitely has established a very high bar on its initial release.
