@OnPurposeToday

Here for the conversations. I'm a woman, abortion is not empowerment, my children are not my enemies, and my body isn't a problem.

Abortion makes a women's body and offspring the accountable parties for the social crisis she is experiencing. Is she abused? Blame her body and kill her kid. Is she poor? Blame her body and kill her kid. Is she ambitious? Blame her body and kill her kid. It's all sick.

@kroger I have used and LOVED your app for years! But whatever changes you recently made have pushed me to the point where I am going to have to find a new app. Your list feature is one giant glitch now. It won't save items I'm adding to the list! Help!!

DAVID FRENCH: ABORTION IS “DECENCY” Usually I’m just annoyed by French, sometimes irritated, sometimes I laugh. But today I literally wept. Today, David praises the “decency” of the man who implored Biden to put an abortion mill in every federal building. David French, a man I once trusted, is now openly advocating for abortion. As a young adult, I looked to French for his well-informed, reasoned, spiritually grounded take on any issue. In recent years, his hatred of Trump (a man I also did not vote for but do not hate like French does) seems to have clouded his reasoning. My respect for him has been slowly dying and today was the nail in the coffin. What I feel today, as a post-abortive woman, is BETRAYAL. Because of the indoctrination of pro-abortion ideology, like that of the candidate French praises, I am the mother of two dead babies… Babies I aborted as a teenager - one in ignorance, because all I’d ever been told in my Democrat state is that abortion is the “decent” thing to do - and the other by coercion, because PEOPLE LIKE DAVID EMPOWER ABUSERS when they call proaborts “decent” This is BETRAYAL not only of me and my babies, but of EVERY MAN AND WOMAN who will suffer and EVERY BABY who will DIE because David now openly campaigns (under the guise of journalism) for proaborts. So, and I’m not sure I’ve ever said this to anyone on this site, F*ck you, David French. F*ck you.

If the primary American divide is between right and left, then Talarico isn’t that interesting. There’s a long history of progressive religious activism in the United States, just as there is a long history of conservative religious activism. Yet if the primary American divide is between decent and indecent, then the equation changes. Talarico shines. nytimes.com/2026/03/08/opi…

I think one of the reasons the right-wing Christian Nationalists are coming out so hard against James Talarico is that they know his version of Christianity looks a whole lot more like Jesus than theirs does and they know people are catching on.

I’m a little behind the game, but I just came across a now infamous interview with @jamestalarico, claiming the Bible does not mention abortion. I am grateful for the opportunity to help enlighten Mr. Talarico -and you - on this subject, as it seems he has been misled.

@travelersam13 Haha, that's amazing! We have a local place that has a curling team and every Olympics I think, "I could take a lesson or two" and then next thing I know, it's the Olympics again.

@AnneJoLee @TruthAgape If it is helpful to know that you're not alone, I have heard other stories that are similar to yours at our retreats. Hope and healing are for you too. I'm so sorry for all the losses your abortion took from you!

How did Jesus respond to my abortion? He called out to me as I fell prey to the lie that my body and my baby were obstacles, burdens, and chains; saddened by my unwillingness to recognize and believe in the beauty he created in women and the miracle of life. He kept me alive as I lay on a bathroom floor vomiting, hemorrhaging, and crying out in pain and desperation. He bore witness to the death of my child and the darkening of my soul as shame gripped me; grieving both. He held me together through the years I was experiencing PTSD while attempting to deny what I had done. He stayed with me as my body heaved with tears and gutteral cries of anguish over the death of my child, knowing all too well depths of pain words cannot touch. He gave me the opportunity to take accountability for what I had done, seek forgiveness from those harmed by the absence of that precious life, and restore the honor of my child by acknowledging his existence, how he died, his worth in Christ, and how much was lost. He forgave me for taking a precious life he created and washed me clean with his blood. He did that while holding my child in his arms, safe, awaiting our reunification. Not once did He demean the life of my child or the sacred relationship between mother and child by suggesting abortion is a valid answer to sins of a fallen world. Not once did He give over His Will for political expediency or to assuage the self-righteousness of those who would use his grace and mercy for evil or as a weapon to promote death and destruction. Not once did He bless my abortion or those who celebrate the destruction of my healthy biology and my child. Jesus blessed me by revealing the truth about how my child died, restoring my role as the mother of my child, and freeing me from the lies that would have kept me in bondage to death, destruction, and shame. The love, grace, and Mercy of Christ is in truth spoken with compassion, not in exclamations encouraging destruction and death dressed up like faux empathy that reeks of self-serving deceit.

The evangelicals who only pipe up about politics when Trump does something bad insist that it’s Trump voters who idolize him. In reality, it’s they who place him in this incredibly elevated position that demands their constant attention and outrage. To them, he is a litmus test. To them, support or criticism of him is *the* indicator of whether someone is sane and good. To me—and I assume to most Trump voters— he is just a person. He represents a large % of our priorities, and he was far, far better than Dem alternatives since 2016. By now, we know what we’re getting. We’re gonna get some unforced errors and some amazing policies. We’re gonna get some things that make us cringe and others that make us cheer. I will continue to be glad for the policies that help our nation and will call out what doesn’t - like the continued circulation of the abortion pill and the admin’s push for taxpayer funded IVF. But… what else do yall want to happen? He’s not going to resign. He’s not going to be impeached. Do yall want us to say we wish Kamala had won? Well, I don’t. And I will never.

@AnneJoLee @TruthAgape Anne, I volunteer with Deeper Still and would be happy to answer any questions you have about our retreats. Many people come who have already experienced a lot of healing but Jesus takes them "Deeper Still", like the name.

Screaming insults at them, sometimes throwing things at them, incessantly honking horns and blowing shrill whistles in their ears all day as they're trying to do their jobs? Yes, that's cruel. And its VERY dangerous. It creates a chaotic environment with excessive distraction and confusion that could ensure they don't get to go home to their families that night. Yeah, that's cruel.

Icy this weekend in Texas. That means we won't drive anywhere. College football season is over, so my girls and I will be taking over the TV with period dramas from the 90s and early 2000s, play some board games and make cookies. Can't wait. 🥰 My girls will be out of the nest before I know it, so praise the Lord for inclement weather that keeps us in the house spending time together.

@Utterly_Jean @CatholicCharm I've never shown my kids her show but my oldest stumbled across it once. After watching 30 seconds she switched to another video saying, "I don't like that, she's really annoying". I was so proud. 🤣

@alntnc I married a man I trust. I make no financial contributions to our family and we share all the money my husband makes. A good man makes this possible. If a man is low character, it puts his wife in all kinds of vulnerable situations.

I say this with nothing but love and sisterly concern: this is not how a man who is attracted to you, or whom you are attracted to, on the primal chemical level necessary for a fruitful marriage, will ever behave. He will buy you a drink and you’ll like it and laugh at his jokes. He’ll seem really handsome and he’ll want to take you to bed and you’ll say no with great difficulty but you’ll take the compliment as security that he is straight and has some testosterone in his blood. You’ll want him so badly that you’ll get married within a few weeks and not care so much about the details of the centre pieces or whatever. The man you can have a real marriage with, where you can’t keep your hands off each other and every kiss is fireworks, is not politically correct, probably swears and will scandalize you
