A 3.5 GPA isn't just eligibility. It's leverage. Academic money stacks where athletic money runs out — especially at D2 and D3. Your transcript is a scholarship too.

FBS scholarships get the headlines. But D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO carry 70,000+ roster spots. College football has room for almost everyone who's findable. Most players just stop looking too early.

Defensive backs: If every clip is from weak competition, coaches notice. Show reps against strong opponents when possible. Context matters.
