Darrell Baker. Top of the screen, #39 . These are the kinds of reps that show you why a team would be interested in bringing him in. This is actually one of the things he does well and somewhat consistently. His ability to click and close is damn good on his best reps, this being one of them. On the contrary, one of his biggest weaknesses is dealing with vertical routes. As I mentioned a few days ago in a previous post about Baker, he has everything you're looking for when it comes to the athletic ability and size and I can totally see why a coach would be interested in getting him in the building for a look-see. Hafley, being a DB's kinda guy, will hopefully get the best out of him.

📹 @MoveTheSticks & @BuckyBrooks on the Move The Sticks podcast discuss Miami's plan at WR: DJ: "I've been told by a lot of people that Miami was (focused on) 2027." Bucky: "At some point, people are going to have to make a decision. Are we going to pay $40+ million for top receivers, or are we going to cycle them through with younger cheaper models? (Green Bay) has always been able to find receivers outside of the first round. Why not jump start the process to get younger and always bring one or two receivers in every year? Jon-Eric Sullivan, who is the son of Jerry Sullivan; one of the best wide receiver coaches we've ever seen in the National Football League - they may feel like they can crack the code when it comes to finding a wideout." Both analysts love the depth at the position, with the sweetspot on day 2 of the draft. Full thing 🔗 youtube.com/watch?v=5nLtZ3… #PhinsUp

Bucky Brooks on Daniel Jeremiah's podcast: "Jon-Eric Sullivan, son of Jerry Sullivan, one of the best WR coaches we've ever seen in the league." Almost verbatim. This is why the Packers never take WRs in the 1st round... because they can scout well enough to hit on prospects further down in the draft. Then obviously they were confident in coaching them up. Pretty confident in 43 being the first potential spot we could see Miami go WR. If they love a guy it's possible at 11 or 30, but I think it's rather unlikely. I could see Miami trading back from 30 a handful of spots and getting ahead of the expected early Day 2 runs on WR. I think a more likely scenario is using one those 3rd RDers and moving up from 43 to get one they really like. I lean this way because I think 30 will go to an Edge player if they don't get one at 11. The Packers have a strong history of moving around at the end of the 1st and in the 2nd Round. One thing Sully has not done yet, is gain any 2027 capital and I think that's something to monitor and something he wants to change. Obviously impossible to predict draft night but using everything I know, I think that's roughly where I'd bet my money if I had to.

🎥 Jarvis Landry on Raheem Mostert’s comments about Mike McDaniel: “If we’re depending on a coach to lay the hammer down, be this tough presence around the team, it tells me that they didn’t have enough leaders inside of the organization… the coach shouldn’t have to yell. [We’re] grown men.” (@4thAndSouthPod) #PhinsUp

🎥 Raheem Mostert on Mike McDaniel player-friendly approach as a head coach: "When you're dealing with a coach that's so nonchalant, laid back... as a player you're like, I need somebody tough that's going to layer the hammer down when it needs to be down and tell other players to get in line, and when you don't got that, that impact can definitely be detrimental."
