#Argentina - Club Almagro goalkeeper Emilio González paid tribute to the club’s former goalkeeper Claudio Tamburrini. During the dictatorship, Tamburrini was abducted and tortured in the clandestine detention center Mansión Seré. Months later, he managed to escape and was forced into exile. After the return to democracy, he testified in the Junta trials. Emilio González took to the pitch wearing a shirt with “Tamburrini” on the back instead of his own surname “González,” and played the entire match against Quilmes with it. The players also wore the logo of the Mothers and Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo on their chests.
