Darren Hercus - FINAL PITCH With election day upon us, I’m offering the people of Nepean an alternative to the major parties that have underdelivered for so long. My campaign has been based on integrity and built around listening to both locals and businesses, by understanding their concerns, and putting the community first. I want to deliver a fresh start free from dirty politics. Nepean deserves better than that. If elected, over the next six months, I will serve the people of Nepean with the utmost dedication to bring about real change. My priorities for Nepean are clear: · Deliver a new Rosebud Hospital via a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP). This project will deliver the desperately needed hospital and provide the people of Nepean the health care they deserve, while keeping it public and saving taxpayers $340 million - money that the state government does not have. · Restore law and order so that families feel safe within our own community. · Reduce the cost-of-living pressures effecting every individual and household. Property tax reductions such as reducing land taxes and the ESVF off the rates is a big part of our policy. · Incentivise small and medium businesses to grow and prosper, creating local jobs for Nepean. This by-election and the up-and-coming full state election is all about change. This by-election is the perfect opportunity for the people of Nepean to put One Nation’s commitment to test ahead of the general election in November. Trust us now, and we will prove to you what real representation is. We will rescue Victoria from financial and social ruin. After holding the seat of Nepean for 16years, the Liberals are having to resort to lies and dirty politics to try and win this by-election. One Nation is NOT privatising the Rosebud Hospital. Today, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of all those who have served our nation. We thank our State President Warren Pickering, our Executive Chair Ben Lucas, and every serviceman and servicewoman who has worn the uniform with pride. Your service, past and present, has safeguarded the freedoms we cherish today. On this Anzac Day, we remember those who gave everything, and we stand in gratitude for all who continue to serve. Lest we forget.

The Liberals campaign has just hit a new low, and as mentioned by STPL News, if the they believed Anthony Marsh could comfortably win on a positive argument and good policy alone, voters would be seeing more of that argument. Instead, what they’re seeing, is a low level smear campaign aimed at spreading misinformation about what we’re trying to achieve in Nepean. DON’T BE FOOLED BY MISINFORMATION. After holding the seat for 16 out of the past 20 years, the Liberals have delivered nothing and are left to resort to low level attacks against their opponents. It’s time to vote for real change. Let’s set the record straight on the lies and misinformation spread by the Liberals on our plans for the Rosebud Hospital. Victoria is broke, with already $185 Billion of debt. One Nation’s PPP is the only way to deliver the desperately needed new Rosebud Hospital. A Public-Private Partnership (PPP) is NOT privatisation. The hospital stays publicly owned, clinical care remains in public hands, and the government sets the rules. The private sector helps build and maintain the infrastructure. In fact, major hospitals across Victoria — including the Royal Children’s, Royal Women’s, Bendigo and Casey hospitals — were all delivered using PPP models. So if anyone wants to talk about real privatisation, let’s remember who actually sold off electricity, gas, and introduced private prisons in Victoria. Any bells? Yes, it was the Liberals. They held the seat of Nepean for 16 out of the past 20 years, since the seat was created! And now want to make big promises while spreading misinformation on our intentions.
