The thing is, it seems pretty obvious given the timing that once they found out Trey could be available to them for cheaper then they went back on their deal. It’s just a bad look and not how NFL GMs should operate. They didn’t want him that bad once they saw Trey looming. If they thought they might want to explore other options then don’t make the deal in the first place, that’s the scummy part. And no WAY they thought Maxx would pass that physical in the first place
