The club can confirm that we have agreed an undisclosed fee for Josh Barrett to move from Aldershot Town to an unnamed club for the 2026/27 season and beyond.
I don't think there's a Shots fan out there who doesn't agree that what Josh did here at Aldershot Town was magic! Having recently joined the Shots 100 club, Josh accumulated over 40 goals and assists for the club in that time.
A couple of the many key moments in a Shots shirt, include a beautiful Boxing Day free-kick against rivals Woking and his hat-trick against Oldham Athletic in a 3-1 away win for the Shots.
Needless to say, a huge part of our Wembley success, where he scored an absolute screamer in the final to make it 3-0 to the Shots, a moment I'm sure every single fan will never forget!
Shots manager Scott Davies had this to say "Firstly, it’s a huge thanks to Josh for what he’s done for this football club during his time here. From afar I have always seen that Josh has been a fan's favourite in the way he plays the game and admire his undoubted ability as a footballer.
Josh made it evidently clear that with a young family, he wanted security by having more than one year left on his current contract.
From a club's point of view, it was difficult to offer Josh a new and improved deal at this time so we’ve reluctantly accepted an offer from elsewhere.
We thank Josh for his time at the club and wish him well in the future".
He's got magic in his boots, he bleeds red and blue, Shots fans, join us in thanking Josh Barrett for all his efforts during his 2 and a half years here, once a Shot, always a Shot!

When I was sixteen I was a YTS boy at Pfizer, the massive American pharmaceutical company in Sandwich, Kent.
In moments of intense boredom, of which there were many, I'd wonder off along the corridors, walking in and out of offices just to see what was going on. On each floor there was an area with potted plants and coffee machines, and I'd spend half an hour drinking sweet hot chocolate whilst gazing out of the huge windows that gave a view onto the massive company car park. Then I would return to my photocopying duties and wait for five o'clock to come round.

🚨 SHE’S VANISHED 🚨
Rachel Kerr, 31, from Dunblane, Scotland, is missing in Agadir.
She was in Morocco on a work trip.
On April 25, she checked out of the Caribbean Village Agador hotel.
Since then nothing.
Her phone is switched off.
No contact.
No trace.
Her family haven’t heard from her in three days and are growing increasingly desperate.
Her cousin, Claire Hill, is pleading for help anyone who may have seen Rachel, or knows anything at all, to come forward.
Every hour matters now.
Even the smallest piece of information could make the difference.
Her family must be beside themselves right now 💔
Please share this someone out there might know something

When @KSI invests into a non-league football club, people pay attention…
But at Dagenham & Redbridge, attention is just the starting point.
John Grabowski is leading a project that’s trying to turn that buzz into something far more substantial: a sustainable football business.
Because this is non-league football:
- There’s no meaningful central TV money.
- And a third of revenue comes from the bar…!
So what actually moves the needle?
This is what reality looks like for most clubs trying to climb the pyramid.
