@rknhd I don’t disagree with the numbers for Japan, bunch of factors going into that which effected it imo (too many for twitter cap) that could be comfortably resolved with some foresight. I think we’re in a very healthy spot that shows the appetite is there for more.

I’m not saying the numbers aren’t generally “high.” I’m just saying ~10% YoY consistent decline over 4 years for the biggest event of the year is not indicative of growth. Apex only has 3 events per year. The biggest event of which is not growing. 2025 and 2026 were hosted in the same region with a 120k peak viewer differential. You can’t isolate the time zone as the issue. I’m just speaking off the data provided. No love of ALGS bias. For me the events have improved in quality and content 10 fold. The data doesn’t show that for the viewers right now though.

LOVE SEEING THESE NUMBERS. Would love to see the ALGS take advantage of these numbers and slot another ALGS LAN into the calendar somehow. The grip Match Point has on an audience is elite, and although I’m wary of over saturation of the calendar, one more LAN would be peak.

@rknhd Those numbers are incredibly healthy imo. Japan time zones always made it tough to view LIVE for the Americas and EU. Total views through VOD etc also healthy for those events, plus record breaking attendance for the ALGS in person.

@OnsetMTH i continue to only root for the success and continuation of apex esports but the numbers on a broader scale do not even imply stability, never mind growth.
