Peter Obi just secured sympathy votes for Tinubu with that post. Many of us were already outraged by the incident in Jos. Whenever I feel like criticizing this government more strongly, Peter Obi reminds me that he could be even worse. I would rather stick with Tinubu than support someone who seems inconsistent and unclear in his stance. Obi will never be President of Nigeria.

Tinubu’s outing in Jos was poor, and here’s why: 1. He visited a grieving state, only to remain at the airport and gather mourners there—this is a very bad look. 2. He complained about “lighting issues” at the airport and also mentioned he had another meeting, which gives the impression that where he was heading next was more important than the lives that were lost. 3. His message at the venue lacked hope and motivation. Telling people that no amount of money can bring back their loved ones is unnecessary—they already know that. What he should have done is offer meaningful support, such as scholarships for the children of the victims. 4. So far, Tinubu’s leadership style has made past leaders—once seen as incompetent—appear better by comparison. Yes, I support this government, but as of today, I would rate him 4/10.
