@ContrarianCurse Nothing wrong with bearish takes. But with $8T of infrastructure spending planned I think bulls make money as usual

English

$MU there is no other stock I get more hate on even half suggesting bearishness than this one. You guys need to fucking chill. I just made 75% in under 8 weeks and excuse me for having a little caution when they are about to report mid 80s gross margin and we are already 10x previous cycle peak for EPS
ITS DIFFERENT THIS TIME
Yea I see that, hence the $105 in EPS, you aren’t really Sherlock Holmes there anymore

@Leo_Traydes Large infrastructure buildout in human history = bubble. 🤡

We are NOT in an AI Bubble. Let me explain:
Many people on X and just people online in general are calling for an AI bubble and I have yet to see any good reasoning behind any of those claims, so let’s debunk the ones I hear most:
1.“Valuations are very similar to the Dotcom bubble”
- The IT sector hit a P/E of over 150 during the Dotcom era. The AI wave has peaked at ~75 and has been coming down since. But sure, just like the Dotcom
2.“There is no real demand”
- You sound dumb
3.“It’s Dotcom 2.0”
- Dotcom companies had no revenue and no path to profit. Anthropic doubled revenue in two months, and OpenAI was adding $1B in annualized revenue per week. But sure, it’s a bubble.
4.“The infrastructure spend is reckless”
- Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Meta are funding this out of hundreds of billions in annual free cash flow. Dotcom was funded by speculative debt. Still a bubble?
5.“AI companies will fail, proving it’s a bubble”
- No sht. Of course some will fail. That’s not what a bubble is
This is just the tip of the iceberg. I could go on and on🤷♂️

Part of Anthropic mis-calculated compute needs is how much they can get out of TPUs in practice. TPUs look strong on paper with all their white papers but Nvidia is engineering that works in practice.
People in engineering understand that there can be a large gap between theory and practice. Last year when Gemini was all the hype, there was some signal on X that Blackwells would bring Nvidia back into singular monopoly position.
Now with Gemini falling off and Anthropic compute constraint due to their heavy TPU mix are both showing. Nvidia is the undisputed king again. White papers, benchmarks and theory falls flat in the face of know how and real world performance.

Dario did wayyyy too many TPUs, and wayyyy too few Blackwell racks huh
