That's actually all community-built on OpenHome. Developers submit abilities to the marketplace and everyone can use them. Kid friendly stuff like storytime and interactive games are totally possible, just need a builder. Your sister sounds like she'd have great ideas for what to make. DMs open for a free devkit.

@jasteinerman @openhome I should have 3D printed a box for openvoiceui.com 😂 my sister does all kinds of stuff on the tv with the kids, makes games on the fly and stories with pictures that are funny… which is the whole missing part of the open home I believe

My Alexa (in Europe) is so retarded, like literally half the things it doesn't understand or does wrong Like you say "Alexa play casa de bamba" and it starts playing casablanca by a Moroccan rapper? Dafuq? The model is so bad and outdated and it's not an LLM voice model like xAI or OpenAI etc have We can't use Alexa Plus (or whatever the AI thing they get in US which is in fact up to date) in EU cause anti-AI regulation Any Home Assistant solution I can get? Mic + speaker and beautiful, and then I can tie it to an actual voice LLM
