Came across a post about the double pendulum and its torus structure. Something felt off. Why does every visualization show a 3D object moving through time, yet the actual equations treat time as just a parameter — never a real axis in the calculation?

A circle drawn on a flat surface can be seen as the two-dimensional result of circular motion. As a pencil draws a circle, time continues to flow, causing the actual trajectory of that motion to form a spiral.
