I feel pity for those who blindly believe such fabricated stories presented by some clerics.A PhD scholar is not so ignorant as to misread even basic terms like کتابچہ as seperate words I hold deep respect for every Mufti and Islamic scholar. Just as a Mufti earns dignity through Islamic knowledge and values,a PhD scholar earns equal respect in their own field of expertise. However, using sacred pulpits to spread such narratives is deeply concerning and can harm society more than help it. At a time when our community is facing countless real issues, it is disappointing to see energy being spent on creating unnecessary controversies and dramatized accounts. I strongly disagree with Mufti Mubarak Qasmi Sahab. It genuinely hurts to see a lack of intellectual responsibility when guidance is most needed. Thank you

I will never endorse Sunni–Shia relationships from either side. A few days ago,a batchmate shared a story that really disturbed me.His friend from Jammu,a Sunni girl, fell in love with a Shia boy. There was a 10-year age gap between them (the boy 32, the girl 22).They had been friends for around three years and in a relationship for about six months. Recently, the boy proposed Nikah, and the girl conveyed the proposal to her parents. As expected, the parents refused because the boy belonged to another sect. Situations like this are not uncommon in our society, and we even see such concerns within certain families and communities. What troubled me the most was what happened next. After the refusal, the boy emotionally pressured the girl and took her to a mosque, ready to perform Nikah without her parents’ consent.Thankfully, the girl refused at that moment, but now she is left in deep trauma, unsure about what to do and whom to choose. Before entering such relationships, one must think carefully about parents, family, and the long-term consequences.Choosing someone from another sect can mean adjusting to different traditions, and lifestyles, which is not always easy. Respect your parents, value your family, and protect your peace and dignity. This post is meant for both sects , not targeting anyone in particular. Thank you

@VelvetEchod The way I received the story is how I discussed it here, and , I am witness to that same story. I am strictly keeping to the moral side of things; I don't need to expose any names .My version hasn't changed—it is simply that a friend’s friend is facing this trauma. That’s it."

I never lie, nor do I intend to create or spread false stories. I received this information from a primary source, and I’m not familiar with how Nikkah is conducted in your sect. However, as per what I was told, the boy was fully prepared for the Nikkah. He brought his mother and the Molvies to a masjid where women are also allowed to enter. Such a scenario is not possible in our masjids. I request you to believe that the story, I shared is cent% true and has been presented without any alteration. Thank you.

If I start sharing the problems, many people would hesitate to listen.I do not want to create division; I only want to highlight some realities. No girl should ever be emotionally pressured or blackmailed into marriage. When it comes to a Sunni–Shia marriage, especially if done without the consent of parents, the consequences can become very difficult. If parents do not accept it, often the girl ends up losing support from relatives and family, which can isolate her from every side. Another challenge is the change in lifestyle and religious practice. The differences in ways of worship, beliefs, respect for Sahaba, and cultural traditions are real. Even if no one forces a change, adapting to a completely different environment can be mentally challenging especially for a religious girl who has grown up with strong beliefs and traditions. This is not about hatred or division. It is simply about understanding the social and emotional realities that many people face.

The Cost of Misquoting Culture🙌 "If Amir Khusrau heard this,he’d be turning in his grave! 🤦‍♂️ It’s disheartening to see our representatives struggle with the very tagline that defines Kashmir’s heritage. If you're going to quote the greats,at least get the words right. اگر فردوس بر روئے زمیں است ہمیں است و، ہمیں است و، ہمیں است If we don't know our own history and literature, how can we represent the soul of the valley? #JKAssembly

Let me say this loud and clear: If I cannot raise my voice for my own people, then I have no right to speak for others. Because the principle is simple & clear, charity and responsibility begin at home. We are accountable for our own families before we speak about the families of others. If you understand this, you understand everything, even the geo-political discourse. Thank you.
