The fact that Darren Mougey got anything for Justin Fields and was able to save the #Jets money while doing so is very impressive. You still have to hit on the picks, but Mougey seems like one of the best young bright minds in the league
English

@TurtleTalkSC Agreed. If we had Folk in 2024 we would’ve been fighting for a playoff spot
English

@OptimisticJets Not to shit on Nick here, but this is a weird assumption to make that it’s just -1 in the W/L when 2 years ago it was quite literally -5 in the W/L column out of the 7 games we lost by 7 points or less. All on missed FGs
English

Even more mind boggling when there are two veteran kickers available in Daniel Carlson and Matt Prater who have kicked at high levels recently. Relying on Cade York in a season in which you’re trying to save your job is bone headed
Nick@NDS1089
the Nick Folk downgrade to Cade York is easily worth a -1 in the W/L column.
English

@ufdtorres This years kicker class stinks. Just hope they are proactive with a veteran before there are none left available

This was at the start of camp last year (July 28th). Relax. Highly likely they draft a kicker and if not they will bring in camp competition between the draft and camp. I will trust the best coach on our staff (Banjo) until proven otherwise
English

@79USMC Don’t get cute with the position and sign one of the proven guys out there
English

@nyjets_talkk A Kicker can make or break your entire season. If we didn’t have Greg Zuerlein in 2024, we would have started 4-2 rather than 2-4. You lose games and seasons when you neglect one of the more important positions on your team especially in the Jets case
English

Hope this doesn’t take the #Jets out of drafting a safety in the 2nd round because Cisco was awful last year in the limited amount of games that he played. Not sure why he was brought back
Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
The #Jets make another defensive move, as Andre Cisco agreed to terms to return to the #Jets on a 1-year deal worth up to $5.25M, source said. Deal done by agents David Mulugheta and Andre Odom.
English

@donnyL78 @kennyaligma I think he would also be strongly considered over a CB if the top 3 receivers aren’t available
English

@OptimisticJets @kennyaligma Boston is not getting enough love. Big body, great hands, good route tree, and he blocks.
English

Think it’s pretty safe to assume that 3 of the 4 #Jets picks in the top 44 will be EDGE, WR, and S based on what they’ve done in free agency. Could see them going BPA with either of the 2nd round picks at either G, CB, or LB
English

@kennyaligma I think they badly want a real solution at WR next to Garrett Wilson and will take whoever falls from Tate, Lemon, and Tyson. This is also a deep corner class so they can still get a good player in the 2nd round
English

Have a funny feeling the NFL is going to put the #Jets up against the Titans Week 1 in Nashville. Robert Saleh against his former team
English

Sign Daniel Carlson or Riley Patterson and this is an A+ free agency for the #Jets. You would head into the draft with the flexibility of taking the 4 best players available in the top 44 and have a roster that can compete next season
English

For the casuals who will critique this move: Dylan Parham was a higher ranked guard than John Simpson last season and he was surrounded by putrid talent around him on the Raiders offensive line. He was not apart of the problem. Good signing by the #Jets

English

Love this move. Parham was one of the few good O-line starters for the Raiders last season
Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
The #Jets work toward bolstering their offensive line, agreeing to terms with former #Raiders G Dylan Parham, per The Insiders. He gets a 2-year deal worth up to $20M negotiated by Sean Kiernan and Travis Allen of @AthletesFirst.
English

@CARGARC4 @Chris1Banjo There’s no way Glenn and Mougey who are a bad season away from being fired are purposely signing bad kickers to tank next season. I just don’t understand why you would create an unnecessary problem and have two bad kickers battle it out when there’s good stable options available
English

@OptimisticJets @Chris1Banjo They want to be in close games where the kicker costs them the game so they can get a high pick
English

#Jets should look into signing an actual good kicker who’s still available. 93% on field goals and 97% on XPs. Please don’t go back to the days of mediocre kicking. @Chris1Banjo
