Many of you think “gm” just means “good morning.”
But over time, it became one of the most recognizable parts of web3 culture.
It started becoming popular during the early NFT and DAO era as communities became increasingly global and online 24/7.
People across different time zones kept repeating “gm” daily as a way to signal presence, optimism, and community.
Eventually, it evolved beyond a greeting.
Posting “gm” became a way of saying:
- still here
- still building
- still active
- still part of the community
Especially during bear markets.
Interesting how two simple letters became part of crypto identity.

The more numbers come out around Somnia, the more questions people start asking.
Around 6 million SOMI were earned through quests, NFT activities, and ecosystem campaigns nearly 60% of the entire airdrop allocation.
But honestly, this doesn’t feel like a “reward” anymore.
It feels more like users are simply getting back a fraction of what they already spent supporting the ecosystem.
For months people:
• bought NFTs
• paid fees
• spent time farming activities
• supported network metrics
• generated hype around the project
And now it’s presented as if the team is being incredibly generous?
And that’s not even mentioning the questionable NFT collections pushed across Somnia over the past months. Many users entered expecting utility and long-term value, yet some of these projects now look more like cash grabs than real ecosystem building.
The community didn’t receive a gift.
The community funded most of this ecosystem themselves.

Yesterday Somnia most anticipated szn5 registration went live.
Checker went live
90 percent of the Community are dissatisfied, expectation were high. But we only get 1% allocation which means many of the questers who invested heavily in Somnia eco NFTs and did the quest are in massive loss.
Paul Thomas called szn5 a serious alpha which made a lot of the community felt betrayed.
Now where to do we go from here?

Because over the last month, Somnia quietly evolved from “another fast L1” into something much more interesting: An infrastructure layer for real-time applications, AI agents, live data, and reactive on-chain systems. Most people are still stuck debating TPS. Meanwhile Somnia is shipping: - Somnia Agents - Data Streams - Prophecy Social - Mainnet upgrades - Ledger integration for $SOMI That’s not noise. That’s ecosystem expansion. (Somnia) The market still sees Somnia as a speculative trade. I’m starting to see it differently. Because if blockchain is going to support real-time internet scale activity in the future then infrastructure like this becomes necessary, not optional. That’s why my conviction remains strong. $SOMI is tied to the possibility that Somnia becomes one of the few chains actually built for where the internet is heading next.
