With more people adopting system thinking into their investment practice, 1 topic surfaces to the top: Is advocating 1 type of system thinking practice/principle inclusive for most global problems we face?

The most dangerous thing for any startup founder is general advice from credible resources that do not consider the startup-specific situation. All startup advice is solid until you discover that they contradict each other and does not fit into your startup situation.

“Many thing that I can mention right now, but I guess I’m just going to go by mentioning the one that I think is the biggest gap and kind of like unsolved problem at the moment and that one is definitely speed. Full Video: buff.ly/ocICmye

When Lorena Neira was asked about the common myths that stakeholders often ask, she mentioned that: “We’re putting rocks in the water, sure, but it’s not as simple as that. They’re not generic rocks, and we’re not a coral restoration project.” The rocks that BluSink designed are engineered from construction waste to capture carbon efficiently and permanently. These rocks are not just for the coral reef restoration, but for the seafloor that benefits the whole ecosystem. “Another one is people assume we’re just another coral restoration project, which, as a previous coral researcher, I couldn’t assert enough the importance of coral reefs for biodiversity and ecosystem services. But I think that we are at the point in time in which we need to take 2 steps, even 3, 4, 5 steps back and think about what’s foundational for the success of coral reefs. Coral juveniles are very fragile, and our tech is intended to be durable, regenerative, and quantifiable. And I think something that we always try to clarify is we’re not replacing nature. On the contrary, we’re using how efficient nature is and we’re only helping it to catch up with climate change by giving it the chance and a head start and the structure it needs to grow back stronger and continue to provide all of those ecosystem services and more efficient chemical reactions when it comes to the carbon removal side of things.” Full video: buff.ly/b8c722o

Do you know that a staggering 40-50% of people globally are worried about their finances? In a 2023 report published by Financial Planning Standard Board(FPSB), they discovered the finding after surveying over 15,000 consumers across 15 locations around the world. What's even more eye-opening? Around 70% of these people have never received professional financial planning advice before. Many believe they have their finances under control…until the reality hits. The questions start swirling: 🥖 Do I have enough money to live in when I have no income? 🥂Could I live in the desired lifestyle when I have no income? 💸 Will I be ready for any unexpected expenses when I have no income? Traditional financial planning service can help you answer the above questions. However, with the increasing negative impacts of climate change, a new set of critical considerations demands your attention: 🌪️ Are your assets resilient against the extreme climate disasters? 💴 Will your money retain its value in the face of climate-led product/service shortage? 🚀 Does your current financial planning consider the disruptions led by climate change? Climate problems cannot be solved by 1-time fashion or silo projects. As long as our human activities emit greenhouse gas emissions, we need to continue our climate movement together with stakeholders to minimize the negative impacts. Start planning your future in advance, when you have the capability to make the positive differences🌍 --- To receive more information about similar posts, follow the hashtags below #Voice_Your_Money #Financial_Planning #Climate_Action #Collective_Movement #Personal_Regeneration

“I will definitely never forget the first time we pulled up deployed BluSink one of these pebbles we manufacture after a couple of months underwater, and it was already covered by pink. Something that I haven’t mentioned yet is rhodolith rocks are pink. They’re naturally occurring pink rocks on the seafloor level…” During our recent interview with Lorena Neira, founder of Blusink, she recalled the first pilot success in which BluSink implemented the project from the lab to the field. The moment when she realized the solution is rebuilding the ocean ecosystem. “I specifically remember….it was the moment, it was literally the moment, we realized our ceramic pebbles weren’t just surviving, but they were thriving and they were creating ecosystems of their own. And from a carbon perspective, those same pebbles had already started capturing CO2, but this wasn’t just about the chemistry. It was rebuilding. It was how life was rebuilding itself on something that was literally made of construction debris. And that was very powerful for us as a company.” Full Video: buff.ly/uNtbFgY #Voice_Your_Money

“On many cruise lines, and I’ve been on many. There’s a real feeling that they teach you about climate, but in a very scary way, and in a way that makes you feel very guilty for having visited these places. I’ve always found it very strange as a passenger because I spent a lot of money to be here. You took my money, and now you’re making me feel guilty that I’m here. That does not make sense. I just thought this is not the way to have good customer service.” During the conversation, Jenn Bonilla, PhD highlights that using guilt as a communication tool can alienate rather than engage stakeholders in the climate conversation. She continued: “Well, at Positive Polar, we’re not going to make you feel guilty. We are going to make sure you understand the problem. There are real problems out there…We at PositivePolar want to inspire that kind of hope married with action, right? That’s why the constant drum beat is with folks to have fun doing some science. Science is fun. So, have some fun and see beautiful places…and set their own goals for how they could contribute.” The unique citizen science solution proposed by PositivePolar is dedicated to inviting as many stakeholders to understand the problem and take action to regenerate our ocean. 💥72% of consumers feel they are doing all they can to protect the environment and nature💥 According to the 2023 global study by GlobalScan and Consumers International, the researchers discovered that people who practice climate action in their daily lives often face the limits of their capacities. The top 3 reasons are: Lack of climate-friendly infrastructures: Public transportation, clean energy supply option, recycling facilities, charging infrastructure, etc. High green premium products/services: electric cars, sustainable apparels, energy-efficient appliances, etc. Fragmented climate education system: Learn from various media channels where the information quality is questionable and unreliable with various implicit conflicts of interest. In the current transition phase, these challenges are normal; however, if governments and businesses are involved in the climate movement, it will make it easier to access and support the climate movement. Individuals itself has its own limitations. To solve the climate problem, we need stakeholder engagement with different responsibilities. If you are a climate stakeholder who would love to be part of the solution, we kindly invite you to join our collective climate movement here: buff.ly/6jAgBXf

🌿Biodiversity is the hidden engine behind clean air, food security, and ecosystem stability. Yet, it’s disappearing faster than we act. 🌍While the world looks into high greenhouse gas(GHG) emissions from human activities, seldom do people pay similar attention to the activities that lead to biodiversity loss. 🐡If you are serious about regenerating our natural ecosystem, enroll in our biodiversity finance training for free here: buff.ly/TseAmew Discover ways to lead nature-positive projects with regenerative finance today🤝

“The idea is to be the embassy of this ocean restoration. So to be an embassy of this ocean restoration, we need to show this to our people because…you love and support what you experience. That’s a natural fact….Bringing the guest on board finally will unleash this ocean science.” When Hugo Hinrichsen, founder of Positive Polar, introduces the proposed ocean solution, he emphasizes the importance of citizen science. He further explains: “We have planned our itineraries so the scientists can make their work and also the guests can enjoy seeing how they work but also enjoy the special kind of tourist attractions that has the different places…We are creating a synergy of energies of people that is eager to know about these places and also eager to know how to restore it through the science.” To invite wider stakeholder engagement, we must take care of each climate stakeholders needs and support them to reach their goals and purposes for the long term ocean restoration success. “I would say that in the area of climate, there are some solutions….. that have reached the critical inflection point where the science has the fundamental understanding. It seems very clear; however, there are still very many important translational science questions and how to scale it safely and responsibly…That is the point at which bringing in investor capital can really move that along very quickly” From our recent podcast episode, Jenn Bonilla, PhD from Positive Polar explains the critical role that the investor capital play to foster the climate progress and how they decide the organization types for their work at PositivePolar “Our company setup as a for-profit, but we intend to work with that critical science that’s largely being conducted in academia and other institutions that are funded by philanthropy and governments. We want to help get that out of the lab when ready and now move toward the actual solutions that can help very quickly, and that is what corporations and for-profit motives and incentives tend to do very well…”. Appreciate the contribution from Arundhati Gunupuru and Ahmed Hossam ⭐, who joined us to explore a different positive future, but left us for various family, and financial reasons. Today, we would love to announce that Optivide has secured $ 2.4M USD from our $ 3.7M USD round from The Funding Partnership. Special thanks to Paul Koshy, who trusts our vision and the potential future that we could redefine together with regenerative finance. When Optivide operates as a dead zombie startup with 🌍Global Remote 🍀Social Enterprise 🌟System Thinking 👶🏾B2B2C/B2C 💸Climatetech x Fintech 🎬No Product They are the first group of people who believe in our work. Without their support, we would not have reached so far. As climate stakeholders, we all know that there is no easy money, especially when solving the climate problem that people are already used to free-riding on them. If you would love to solve the climate problem effectively, we kindly invite you to connect with Chien-Chih Chen, CFA, to start the conversation.
