@OpusDaystar i've listened to some lemon demon and i'm a big fan of neil's whole body of work! lots of people have said my stuff sounds a bit like lemon demon, i think that's more because he also happens to be heavily influenced by tmbg and logan whitehurst. funny how that can work out!

@lev_vellichor My go to method for recording and mixing singers is to use the first take as a baseline but then comp in small segments from other takes for bits that sound rough.

@lev_vellichor This only really applies for vocals but the first take is usually the one with the most energy. Psychologically we tend to perceive louder=better so when subsequent takes fall short of this energy we naturally think they're weaker in comparison.

Music people do you have an explanation for why its always the first take that sounds the best Singing one phrase 5 times just to choose the first one is humbling lmfao
